Have you ever been the victim of a HIT-AND-RUN vehicle ACCIDENT?

The car I was driving was once sideswiped by another car, who just took off without stopping. I called the police, and we collected some pieces that fell off the other vehicle, enough to identify the type of vehicle and color, but the policeman just told me to claim it on my insurance. He wasn't interested in trying to find the other vehicle, and told me that this happens all the time, and they rarely find the other vehicle.

Fortunately, I was alone in the car and was not injured. My car, though, had the entire driver side dented in and scraped., and my insurance took care of it. Amazingly, my insurance rates were not increased... this was several years ago though.

I don't think I've ever had that happen to my parents but my cousin had a stranger bang into her car in a parking lot during a trip to Toronto years ago when she had a rental vehicle for the few days she was here and the car rental wanted to charge them around $5,000 for damages that should have cost less than $800 to fix.

Her credit card came with car insurance but it took over 5 months of paper filing and phone calls and reminders and arguments before they finally refunded the money which I think could have been as long as 2 years from the day the filed their claim. The insurance company knew they had no choice but to pay but they wanted to make it difficult so she would not allow it to happen to the insurance company again.

Yes once but what surprised me the most was the police didn't show up to the scene and when I went in to file a police report the next day they said they couldn't because I hadn't called for a police officer at the scene, which I had.

No, but a past girlfriend and I witnessed one…. We followed the asshole going at somewhat high rates of speed going through several areas while dialing 911. We stayed on the phone and worked with dispatch/stayed with them until the cops found us and took over. An unfortunate turn of events since the spineless, asswipe had no character/moral compass…but ultimately a win for the good guys….

Just last September, I was biking downtown and go hit from behind by another vehicle going around another vehicle in the intersection. Through me over the hood of one parked cars and landed in between the parked car in front of it.

Luckily I just had some scratches on the knees and elbows. Had a lid on and it was cracked so it likely saved me from a concussion or worse.

Yes , I got hit by a car and the person that hit me just took off. I saw the brake lights come on for a second and then the car was gone. It was a Pontiac LeMans

No, so far everyone has had the good courtesy to stop, including one gentleman who didn't even hit me but saw my car flying off the road for no apparent reason other than my own stupidity.
