Have you ever had a dream, that you just couldn't get out of?

You think you're awake but not. Then only way to get out is when someone wakes you or your alarm wakes you.

I have this happen several times a week. I suffer from PTSD and have nightmares where I just can't escape from it. My girlfriend has to wake me up, but she can only wake me up by shaking my foot otherwise she might cop a wayward fist by accident.

I can totally sympathise with you, it sucks!

@Jared91. I don't have PTSD. This has just started about a week ago. Something must be on my mind, conscious mind blocking it. Then it comes out when i sleep and mind doesn't know how to deal except in a weird dream that i can't wake up from or get out of.

I wasn't implying you had PTSD that just what mine are from. But yeh those kinds of dreams suck. As you said clearly something subconsciously on your mind that comes out while you are alseep. Even if you could remember it, interpreting dreams is a whole other ballgame
