Some people get mad when the asker doesn't accept their opinion and disagrees with them, when there are other opinions the asker agrees with.
I think this is pathetic from the person who answers the question

The issue is not legitimizing criticism. Unfortunately, there are too many people on this site who feel entitled to tear others down in order to push themselves up. There's no reason to ask a question if your mind is already made up and you're not open to expand your perspective, but answers given are hopefully merely alternatives to consider, not declarations of fact for all, and everything else is fake news. This site can be a great opportunity to explore curiosity, learn and grow. Using it to push your agenda onto others is just a waste of time and effort, as others are just as likely to be receptive of your agenda as you are receptive to their agenda. What makes sense to one won't make sense to all, so let's be respectful of each other. Pushing that square block into the round hole will only lead to frustration and disappointment.
Sometimes the manner in which you disagree will affect someone/the opinion holder's view in a negative way. I do agree with you that there are some negative reactions when a disagreement occurs on the site and even during face-to-face interactions.
It's expected that when people don't hear what they want to hear, they'll get defensive. But I'm not here to care about such things. I've been here on and off since 2015, and anytime I contribute, it's meant to help or give perspective. Of course I've had people argue against what I've said, but when someone asks a question and I answer it, I've done what I've logged in to do. If they only prefer to have like-minded opinions to make themselves feel better, then great. If what I have to say makes sense or helps them out, great also.

It's okay to disagree with someone's opinion. That's called discussion. What's wrong is when the asker blocks the other person just because they disagreed.
If you're not going to at listen listen to, and accept, the opinions of others, then don't post the question.
the necessity of opionionation is one of the great societal falacies of this era, along with that of the neurotic needs to identify and to possess. such matters are the tools of the evil resident among us, and the means by which the suffering of which we complain is induced, by us, on us, for us, to us. egocentrism seems to be fit for that list also, considering.
What's ridiculous is that, they ask a question and when you give a response, not even in argument but just a passive comment, and they don't like it, they respond, call YOU names and then block you so you can't even explain or defend yourself!! VERY childish, cowardly behaviour!!
I think you shouldn't ask a question if you already know the answer you want to hear.
This is why I typically won't respond to anon questions. Because I like having the option to block them if they're just some knucklehead spoiling for a fight. My answering is typically this. "You asked the question not me". I didn't come to you for an answer. You came to us on G@G. If you want to agree to disagree that's fine I will accept that. But you don't get to ask us a question. Then tell me I'm wrong simply because you didn't like the answer.
I think people on this site would do the best if they would stop a second before asking a question and ask themselves "do I really want to entertain a differing opinion". And if not the probably shouldn't ask it. It's best for everybody including them.
Then why do you try to shove your opinion down the askers throat? It could be you ARE actually wrong. You need to look at things from different perspective l
And on every question you get varying opinions, so I don't see why they shouldn't ask a question just because few people they disagree with
Again you asked the question. Why would you ask a question you already knew the answer to. I wouldn't be responding if I didn't already know. Why is everything a godd*** debate with you women? ๐ Nobody is shoving anything. You ASKED! The better questions is, "why are you just looking for a fight"? Because this all could be cleared up by you just posting the disclaimer "I don't actually want actual advice, I just want people to agree with me, I just want people 5o tell me what I want to hear".
It's childish to not being able to take criticism 💀
That's because it's not constructive criticism, it's destructive criticism.
Unfortunately most people don't know the difference, which explains a lot.
Not agreeing is not destructive criticism
Only cry babies think like that
Is there a reason why you followed me? I didn't come on here to interact with women..
I ask questions in order to get opinions. If I am making a decision, all of the opinions can be used to help me.
People get mad
Yes I do
