If I want marriage, does going after a guy who just turned 18 is stupid?

A bit. He is just barely 17, but just had a birthday that automatically makes him an adult only enough legally vote. That's about it. He's just out of high school, and likely has had no meaningful experiences in life to form his opinions on things. What ever experiences he does have are few and far between. Sounds like if you're interested in an 18 year old, you're interested for physical reasons. You're expecting an awful lot out of a kid to become a husband at this stage.
