Why do some people write factually incorrect comments on here?

One time a person I saw a person write period and menstruation doesn’t mean the same thing.

Some people are ignorant, and think they know things that they don't. Others believe whatever others tell them.

And sometimes, people just get confused by the words. In this post's example, maybe the person confused menstruation with menopause, which is clearly not the same as period.
