Do people just not like being around autistic people?

I took my dog to a dog park and no joke there were 3 people there and they all left shortly after I got there so it did two things it made me extremely self conscious but also it made me feel bad for my dog because now he has no one to play with

Happens to me too. I'll go somewhere & be confused as to why people start leaving or acting strange. Then I remember I'm literally a black dude so if I don't talk to anyone, they'll think I'm gonna like rob them or something.

No one would know you’re autistic just by looking at you, so I don’t see how people leaving the dog park is even related to a mental condition. Seems purely coincidental. They would have been leaving when they wanted to leave, rather than it revolving around you being there.


I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like being around autistic people strictly for the reason that they’re autistic. That doesn’t make much sense.
