A lot of people decorate their trees in early November. However, I believe the weekend before or the week of Thanksgiving is the earliest acceptable in my opinion.
I NEVER decorate before at least the 2nd week of Dec.!! Otherwise, you get sick of it before Christmas even gets here and, the sooner you put the tree up, the sooner it'll die. I never put the tree up `til the weekend before Christmas. That way, I can keep it up `til at least the 2nd week of Jan.!! I also never listen to ANY Christmas music before at least the first weekend of Dec. and, even then, I MIGHT play a couple Christmas songs a day. By the 2nd week, I might play a few more, I don't get heavily into it `til about a week before and then, I keep playing them for at least a week & half after!!
People today are SOOOO FUCKING PLASTIC!! They put up the tree Halloween night and take it down at the stroke of midnight Christmas night!! What's the fucking rush? I SURE AM glad I grew up when I did and Christmas actually meant something!! Now, it's more like something you HAVE TO slog through just because you HAVE TO!!
I'm, by NO means, religious but, at least I get to ENJOY Christmas WHILE it's the Christmas season!! I'm not a god damned SHEEP that ALLOWS everyone else to FORCE Christmas on me before I'm ready for it!! All you plastic people start shoving Christmas music down everyone's throat 24/7 Halloween night and stop it DEAD at midnight Christmas day!! You talk about Christmas spirit but the only kind you know of comes in a bottle!! Otherwise, it's ALL about money!!

I think Thanksgiving is fine if people want to decorate that early. When I grew up we always had a live tree. I think Thanksgiving is too early with a live tree, because it dries too soon and becomes flammable and dangerous. Of course this is worse in cold climates when the furnace is running strong and making the air very dry.
Dry Christmas trees are a major cause of house fires. One year I took our tree to the garden to burn it. I put a match to one corner. It didn't catch fire - it blew up instantly with a big boom.
Annnnnd done. I just finished putting up my first tree. That statement alone should tell you something. I don't care what other people do or don't do in terms of decorating their own homes, that's their business, but I will not be shamed into holding off and not decorating because someone thinks they gate keep the rules on when and how someone can decorate. I ignore those people because they don't live in my house. Do you!
In italy people have this rule, to start decorating officially on the 8th of December and get rid of it on 6th of January...
me myself... I won't decorate this year... just too much work and I live alone and have no kids so I'll just put little to no decoration and be minimalistic about it lol

I think it is a womderful holiday tradition for a family to decorate a Cristmas tree together on Thanksgiving Day, after the midday meal. And that is the earliest I think Christmas decorations should appear.
I'd be the type to have my tree lit up every month but December.
Its fine to start decorating November 1st
My husband & I have decided that we'll use our artificial trees this year.
Since we wouldn't have to worry about any drying issues, we'll erect & decorate them all before Thanksgiving Day.
I caved and bought my Christmas tree yesterday 😅
So whenever lol
We usually start decorating in December and put the tree up about a week before Christmas otherwise it looses all its needles before the big day.
Used combine Halloween 🎃 lights and decorations with Christmas 🎄⛄ decorations because we couldn't wait to decorate either of them.
You should start putting up the Christmas decorations the Monday after Thanksgiving. I would say the next day but I'm going to be too busy eating Thanksgiving left overs. And the tree on November 30
We normally start the first week of December.
Probably mid-October. I do not care for Halloween much. Thanksgiving only matters to me in years I can see my family.
from the 1st of December
November is wayyyy to early
Whenever someone wants to. I decorate on December 32nd and take them down on December 34th.
Late November. In my family though, we haven't decorated since my Opa died in 2017.
A lot of my relatives would decorate a day after Thanksgiving, but I lost the touch of decorating.
I think after Thanksgiving is acceptable but that's just me.
Any time before the beginning of December is way to early.
Yeah I agree with you, usually wait until December to do anything
@Worst HATES Christmas, don't even mention it around him
Start of December. Any earlier than that seems antsy.
