K-Mart
I was 30 years old when I went to my first K-Mart because my friends said they only have stiff for poor people in there. They never went to K-Mart - snobs!
What's the difference if you go to Kmart and buy Post-It-Notes cheaper or go to Office Depot and pay twice the price for the same thing? I'm not proud!
K-Mart always seemed to be pricier on what I wanted that its competitors. Blockbuster might have been great in its time but is about as relevant today as 8-Track tapes. Payless is still online, and would be great for a lot of people, but not for a US Size 14 wearing long distance runner. Toys r Us is also online and would have been my choice if I were 15 or 20 years younger.
For me, none, but for others I think Payless would be most useful.
Australia still has ToysRus , its listed on the ASX .
We had payless too , not sure if thats still there , i use to go there.
I voted ToysRus although I have never used it much , massive stores in comparison for our population.
It didn't know you guys still had Toys r Us!
@butterly248
Yep , naming rights were purchased , used to be a part of " Myer " then " Coles - Myer " , they had rights to the name , its a small cap listed entity.
@butterly248
We also have K mart , which is owned by Coles , part of the Aussie duopoly ( Woolworths / Coles )
Payless cause they actually had good deals on shoes

I'm imagining being able to go into a blockbuster and load a movie onto a thumb drive and take it home and watch it, much easier for a person like me who is not so good with remotes and passwords
Those were the days!
Blockbuster. Fk youuuu... fuck y-
*swings at imaginary haters saying I'm wrong to say that*
But i lowkey miss blockbuster. That was the good days
I was torn between shoes and toys.
I went with shoes.
Lol.
And "K-Mart sucks," Poor Tom, lol.

blockbuster and it's not even close. People don't realize how much cheaper it was to go there and pick out some movies to watch, compared to today where everything is on separate services you have to pay a monthly fee for. We'd all be millionaires now from what we saved, if blockbuster beat out netflix in the beginning. :)
Kmart. Honestly it’s really sad to see businesses gone that I used to go to all the time. It really sucks.
Blockbuster I really miss the memories and moments.. but honestly it probably wouldn't be the same anyways since I used to go with my dad almost every 2 weeks on Friday.. My dad was my movie buddy and he would let me watch any rating LOL
Bring back the toys. It was always fun to shop there with the little ones.
Probably the Payless. I can look past the shaqs
Kmart. With their shop your way rewards points I barely paid for toilet paper before they closed.
Kmart just because you could cash your check for free there.
Toys R Us, if only because KMart has been largely replaced by Target and similar.
Sears used to be good before the moneypigs bought it for the real estate and let it go to hell.
Woolworths.
Probably wouldn't mean much to folks outside the UK though.
There was Woolworth in the US until the 90s
@smahala1991 : Dunno if it is the same. I know there is one in Australia and South Africa even now, but it isn't the same chain.
The US version was a discount store with a restaurant in most stores.
Think Walmart (ASDA) before Walmart
Oh yes I miss this so much!
Blockbuster
That candy and carpet smell, I get high off it
Probably blockbuster. It was nice to get CDs that were actually high quality and bring them home and watch them.
It's been so long, you forgot they are called DVDs.
Kmart for the nostalgia, Toys R Us for the toys.
K-Mart. .. But why is no Pathmark (local supermarket) or Radio Shack, Walden Books, Sam Goody...
RadioShack would've been my top choice if it was available! Love that store
what are they
i know toys r us is we have them in Canada
You surely know Blockbuster?
Toys R Us made Christmas and birthdays so easy 😭🪦 🦒
@7Phoenix7 seriously it was like saying bye to my childhood
They had an aisle that was just Batman and Spider-Man they had a transformers and ninja turtle aisle
Don’t get me started on the Legos or the fucking Star Wars Aisle “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?”
I don't know what the Blockbuster is I know what Toys R Us is cuz they're still one where I live I didn't know if they were shut down
Blockbuster was a dvd and vhs rental shop. Netflix before Netflix! Netflix offered to buy Blockbuster and Blockbuster laughed in their faces!
Big oof
Probably Toys R Us. I have no use for any of them, but maybe my kids would enjoy going there.
the shoes? I guess we still use shoes...
Lol true
not so much at Walmart though...
Both Blockbuster and Toys r us! Both give me such fond memories 💖
Definitely Toys R Us.
I'd bring back Kmart from the early days. Towards the end they sucked
Blockbuster. Because Kmart sucks
Toys r us :(
Probably Toys “R” Us
But they really need to bring back Radio Shack, orange Julius, Farrell’s ice cream parlor , and The Wiz
Payless
K Mart.
Kmart.
