Not if you wash them regularly? I guess? Because as far as I know, the pillows in my home have never been changed ever since I took birth. It's just that my mom and dad would take time one fine Sunday and clean them thoroughly by hand every 6 months. And we use pillow cases too, so I guess that helps, because these pillows are almost old as I am and they are still fine. But I gotta say, they are more soft and comfy with this home warmth compared to those new foam pillows we got 5 years back.

Geez the other pillows sound like they weren't very good but I don't get it, some pillows flatten faster than others, I guess some pillows were just meant to be used for a lifetime lol

I mean the other new pillows were just as good, but you know right, old pair of jeans always feel more comfy than the new pairs because they have been washed, held and went through so much more. But yes that's true, the fact that they flatten after some period of time. But I guess it's a win win situation for me because I don't prefer pillows under my head but flat ones are like perfect for me.

What? Why? Flat pillows hurt my neck cause I sleep on my side, or maybe they are just bad pillows or something, either ways I've noticed flat ones are uncomfortable, your flat pillows must be made well lol

doesn't expire if no one uses it. Lol, i change my pillows after 8-9 months. Personally I dont like my pillows brand new because it smells quite weird and is bigger than the size i feel comfortable with. So I start living my pillows after using for a month

I think there's usually a time and a pillows life when it needs to be retired or escorted into a dog bed. I've got a memory foam pillow that has not lost its firmness or shape, but the covering that goes over it has been replaced every few years. I think it's about six years old. It's about do for another fitted cover change. Pillowcases certainly help with keeping skin oils out of the pillow fluff.

No. But they accumulatw lots of sweat, dead skin, and with these lots of mites and other small animals that feast on your stuff and also poop in your pillow, so its advised to wash it from time to time and replace it every couple of years.

No, you can just fluff them up again. And everything thats soft does compress and flatten. If you want a pillow thats stays 100% in shape, you need a rather hard pillow.

Some do but these are the best. I have had them for over ten years. They are washable.

I replace our pillows every 3 months. If you don't, they become bacteria traps.

They can lose their fluff. Depending what they’re made of, you can refresh them in the dryer.

If you wash them and put some tennis balls in the drier with them, they can fluff up again (that might be just real feather pillows, and always follow the washing instructions).

Pure Cotton pillows from from Grandma's time are still fluffy. Only the polyester pillows die out

They sure are. And they are easy to make. Just get ginned cotton and fill your pillows with it. Guaranteed to last a good time 😁.
For winters use Bombax tree cotton which is available in March in my region. Wool also works great

I wouldn't call it an expiry date but for hygiene and health reasons you should change get new pillows once in a while.
