How many words is too long for you to lose interest and not answer a question here?

We are allowed 149 characters - but other users have said if a question is that long, they just skip it. Do you do that too?

What makes me skip questions is when the asker makes absolutely NO sense in the question! If I can't read what's written or make any sense of it, I'm not gonna bother answering, other than to MAYBE ask what they hell they're trying to say!
From what I've been seeing, mostly here, these days, English hardly exists, anymore!! Hardly ANYBODY knows how to use it or spell it anymore!! I feel like I'm suddenly either on another planet or at least in another country! Either that or, for some reason, it's REALLY COOL to be stupid!

No, last night I saw a couple that were so terribly written I couldn't figure out anything they were saying. I normally check those to see where they're from in case they happen to be from another country and, at least 90% of the time, they are American.

I dont have a word count, its more a style and question thing. Like if all someone does is vent their entire life story I have little interest to read it all since its always something really uninteresting to answer.

Length doesn't bother me as much as the context or wording.
If the asker is rambling, or the question is full of typos and grammatical errors- I lose interest relatively quick!

But if it's a question that's long because the asker is trying to be detailed (and yes, sometimes that's necessary before passing judgment or helping someone), it doesn't phase me.

Some people are just lazy and have short attention spans 🙄

The problem is not that the question is long but it has to make sense.

If you are asking something, we need the context and it has to be simple. Usually people that write long questions are very confusing... Which makes me skip it.

I only cry a little bit when the description is way too long and looks like a block of letter soup

If it's necessary exposition, a paragraph or two... some people write walls of text that have fuckall to do with anything and that gets old

I usually don’t answer the long and drawn out ones unless it’s really interesting and I have the patience to read all of it, I think teddy Roosevelt was the same way, he wouldn’t read more than one page on something

It depends on a lot of things. It depends if it's a topic that seems interesting to me. And it depends how busy I am at the moment and if I really have the time to devote to reading it thoroughly.
