Trending & News each one starts. Sunday started the week but Monday started the work week in that context Sunday is week-"end" of work but not start of week like the name of the day sun shows it is the start.
in russian day names number 5 is on the day we call Friday the sixth day indicating they start on Monday. my calendar has initials so i start on Saturday in my phone calendar so i can distinguish which is first s and which is second s.
Depends where you are. In some places, like the US, the week is typically shown on calendars as Sun-Sat, though there are exceptions... the American company I work for. uses Mon-Sun. In Europe, it's typically Mon-Sun.
If you're religious, the Bible says the Lord rested on the 7th day, which would be Saturday (Jewish) or Sunday (Christian), which probably explains for the Sun-Sat and Mon-Sun options.
Interesting answers led me to do some research and I found out that the US Post Office actually uses Saturday as day 1 and Friday ends the week as day 7.
Despite how calendars look or how I look at our calendars, it seems to me that Monday is "another new beginning" again.

On the Gregorian calendar (the one that every nation in the world uses, at least for international purposes), it's Monday; Sunday is the sabbath, the holy day at the end of the week, as per the new covenant made when Jesus died on the cross. This is also the case with the Julian calendar, which the Gregorian replaced. It's NOT the case with the Jewish calendar, since they don't feel the same way about Jesus; their sabbath is Saturday, and so their week begins on Sunday.
I know formally its Sunday, but Monday is the beginning of my week so I still voted for Monday. I don't care about the formal rules, its when the work week begins again.
Sunday is the weekend, the week cannot end where it starts
Very smart observation haha
It depends where you live. Here in Europe it's Monday but in America it's Sunday. In north Africa it's Saturday.
For me Monday... When I have to drag Drama Queen out of bed at 6:30 am and repeat it till Friday :D
A week to me always starts on on Monday because Saturday & Sunday to me are considered the weekend. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday are week days.
mine start with Thursday Night Football...
According to the most widely used calendar format here, Sunday. But practically, I'd say Monday.
Whichever one you want. This really only matters in businesses that count revenue by weeks. They have to pick a day.
It's Sunday, the day when we celebrate the start of new week with a celebratory Holy Mass.

neither cause the week works in a cycle and a cycle has no ends.
