Depends on where you are from, and what you believe. Technically according to the 8601 Standard Monday is the first day of week. But rationally in may cultures Sunday was the first day of the week. Because the Gregorian calendar was derived from the Hebrew calendar, where Sunday is considered the beginning of the week.
ISO 8601 is an international standard covering the worldwide exchange and communication of date and time-related data. But the ISO 8601 Standard did not exist prior to 1988... so honestly Monday as the first date of the week is a relatively new concept, but it makes scene because Monday is the first day of the business week.
And honestly why would the Hebrews consider Sunday the first day of the week anyway? It a well established fact that on the 7th day God rested... so if Sunday is the day of rest then it would be on the 7th day not the 1st.

We exist in a predominantly Judea-Christian society who OSTENSIBLY reveres the Bible... "and on the SEVENTH day God rested" Conjoined with the ancient Pagan reverence for the preminent life-giving properties of the Sun... that would be 'Monday' as the first day of the week.
Monday.
Sunday is during the weekend, literally meaning the end of the week. So Monday is the first day, if Sunday is at the end.
If you argue that Sunday and Saturday are at either ends of the week, then that would mean you have two weekends per week, but you don't, it's just one weekend.
It's Monday because on my off weekends - I'm guaranteed be off Saturday - Sunday as that is the weekend.

It depends on what my life revolves. If it was you then the days would not be the Sun's nor the Moon's nor any of those through Saturn. They would all be yours.
I can remember very Well at my childhood in the catholic Easter early morning worship. They Always had The sentence "because of that WE celebrate The First day as The day Jesús Christ has surrected from The death". AND this Is right. Because The Seventh day Is Sabbath (Saturday)
Sunday is the first day of the week (hence, the week-ENDS). But Monday is the first day of the typical work week. If you don't work a typical M-F 9-to-5, Sunday is still the first day of the week, regardless.

It is Monday. Because in Genesis God rested on the seventh day.
I feel Sunday is a part of the “weekend” for a reason. So Monday is the start to me
Monday for me. because official institutions, schools and hospitals (except for the emergency service) have always been closed on Sundays. but since Monday is a working day, frankly, i don't like Sunday. I feel like there is no such day on Sunday. Saturday is better for me.
Sunday is the first day but Monday always feels more like the beginning.
Technically Sunday. Work week is typically Mon to fri
I only say Monday because they concider m-f as week day and Sunday as a weekend.
I've always though Monday was the first day of the week.
On the Gregorian calendar, it's Monday. On the Jewish calendar, it's Sunday. Not sure about others.
Monday is the first day of the week because Sunday falls on a weekend.
If I say "Sunday" people look at me strangely. so Monday
I'd find it strange to have my week-end on the first day of the week :)
