Is Sunday or Monday the first day of the week?

I distinctly remember learning in kindergarten that Sunday is the first day of the week.

And when you look at a calendar, Sunday is the first day.

I don’t know if they changed it, but when you google it, it says it’s Monday. Also if Sunday is first then why is it part of the weekEND? 🧐
I see people online debating about it too.

On the Gregorian calendar, Monday is- Saturday was the sabbath, and still is as per the Jews, but the new covenant changed that to Sunday.

Monday is been the first day as they taught me in the kindergarten and grade classes. But gradually I started taking Sundays as the first day because they mention like the in calenders. Logically, there's more support for Monday being the first day but people also believe it to be Sunday. I voted for Monday.

All calenders I have ever seen in this country (the Netherlands), both paper and on computers, show the week as starting on Monday and ending on Sunday. So to me there has never been a question about it; the week starts on Monday, and Sunday is the second day of the WeekEND.
