Not being a fan of tattoos, still a very good and interesting question. As far as I know, the answer may depend on the culture you belong to. For a yakuza in Japan (Japanese maffia) for instance, the tattoos seem to be some kind of evolutive biography, and thus clearly indicating the person is member of a crimininal organization.
On the other hand, anyone can fancy having some tattoo for other personal reasons: the wish to belong to some group of people, not necessaryly criminals mind (!), even if a bit border line.
Some people have tattoos done to hide some physical wound or uggly feature, and there are of course people who just love having some little tattoo here or there on their body, like the name of a beloved one, or as for sea people and soldiers, the image of some beloved person ;0)
I guess it depends on the tattoos. 99% of the time, no.
But if I see someone with a tear drop tattoo, for example, I do think to myself “did you kill someone?” lol
No… I don’t have tattoos, but my loved one had fought with anxiety and depression and she got a tattoo to always remind herself to “Keep Breathing”, no matter what.
Tattoos can be the way to cope with life for some people.
And who am I to judge them for the ways they cope with life?
I personally dance when I am sad.
Everyone deals differently.
Depends what they are. I mean, tell me Harry Styles looks like like criminal with that butterfly on his chest lol. Same goes with religious tats, those honouring a family member, semi-colons (representing a suicide attempt) and ones based on culture.
Very feminine tbh
Eh but it suits him. He's probably the only guy who could make that look good
See him in his 40's or older.. I hope he still looks THAT macho then! If he does (which I'm sure he'll have no problem since he's one of those rich and famous celebs who can afford to not work, eat right, exercise, be with the ladies, etc.)...
@TenderFantasy he doesn’t look macho at all, but okay

No. It's a way of expressing themselves, and many people have really beautiful tattoos.
But for many gangs, tattoos are like a chip card that allows you to enter specific parts of the city... So it's wise to know and understand the specifics of tattoos in your region...
no i love looking at tattoos. tho i don't have any myself, i really appreciate looking at the art. it lets me into what they're like as a person, what they like, what they believe, at just a glance. i find it fascinating. it doesn't mean they look like a criminal at all, in my opinion. some criminals don't even have tattoos lol
does that mean i look like a criminal...
They make people look dirty, especially when the tatts get old. I do not want to have sex with someone that looks like an art gallery.
No, I don't think so. There are many people who don't have tattoos but are criminals.
I would say it also depends on the type of tattoo. If someone has a swastika or any other offensive symbol, I consider them criminals.
My recent ex had a tattoo of a cross. I should have taken that as a hint of his character considering he is an agnostic atheist but he grew up religioius lol. Go figure.
not yet but... films USE that, making criminals with big tattoos, this can cause association! wow.
but a big tat is also used on good guy aquaman so he looks tough.
Nah, In my opinion it sure can look shady (and also in the same sense, not so well suiting someone to put it like that in a kind manner), but if it's well planned and executed and it suits the vibe of the guy/girl it can looks so attractive. I mean if someone is bad you can sense it without even the tattoos. And it also helps if you know a bit about the history of the tattoos and symbolism.
Definitely not automatically just by virtue of having one or more. Now if he had MS-13 or a Swastika on his forehead, I will assume the worst.
Definitely
but a criminal would HIDE if he was really ms-13? and even neo nazi, that i oppose is now an idea, principle not actions of crime in contrast to original nazi physical violence.
You’d be surprised I guess that many parade their views
Nope not at all. Having tats is far more popular these days, give it another 20 years, politicians will all have them, the consultant you see will have them.
Yes. It has been scientifically proven that 100% of criminals have tattoos. They even did an experiment where they got 3 innocent babies which did not have tattoos and jaywalked 2 of them across a quiet street and had the other one cross legally. The 2 which jaywalked were found to have tattoos after having committed the crime.
i enjoyed that!
it makes them look pretty much like everyone else.
It seems to be the norm now, I'm just wondering what they will look like in their 60s.
Just a big ink blob?
Not really.. Like Chris Heria and the other guy definitely don't look like criminals.. But tattoos do make people look a bit more "tougher" than they might be.. Lmao..
exactly, i think that is why they made aquaman with huge tattoos
@strateguy632 Exactly.. Like take the tattoos off of that guy in the second pic and he goes from looking like some bad boy to... A regular old guy.. 😂
Obviously not. I know many successful businessmen and women that have many tattoos.
The question asks for your opinion. There’s nothing “obvious” about any person’s opinion. Please learn how to use words correctly
Not a criminal, but I feel like it makes them look sloppy.
Mmm there's that also like someone with hair they don't care for just as bad or a shabby appearance in clothes/holes in clothes/bad smell of clothes
Lol no, not at all. I just think the person is extra hot with it... but it also depends where and what it is lol.
Nobody has thought my tattoos made me look like a criminal; a misogynist, douchebag or working in porn industry though
Personally I absolutely loathe and hate all tattoos.
No but different cultures will have different views on it!
not necessarily. If they had gang tattoos or prison tattoos they do. If it is a military tattoo I say no.
They CERTAINLY aren't attractive in any way, shape or form!!
Sometimes but that only adds to it not take away from it.
I voted Yes and also that it just ruins otherwise healthy, clean skin and healthy clean lines. After all, it's not everyone's cup of tea ☕👀
Then again, if a person does not care what they do to their body or are in prison or a Bikie, than whatever my opinion, 😞
It makes them seem stupid, because they either don't know that all tattoo ink is poison, or they know, but get the tattoo anyway.
I don't know about a criminal but there typically is somewhat of a correlation between tattoos and lower I. Q.'s.
That’s not true
You ever seen Einstein or Steven Hawking with a sleeve?😆
No, except if they are all over their face or like teardrop tattoos. I guess it really depends on the context.
Personally, I think yes at first glance, but they can wear whatever tattoo they want. It's body art.
Yes. Tattoos make people look like criminals.
It depends on the amount of tattoos, the location, what they are and the colours. All of those has an impact I would say on how people would judge those who have the tattoos.
I think people who get a ton of tattoos often have an identity issue within themselves.
On a guy it does at times, it used to be associated with bikers, thugs and criminals
not necessarily. some of them are really nice.
To me, only face tattoos do.
Of course not
No. Unless it's a well known gang sign.
No necessarily criminal, but mentally ill.
Mentally ill? Explain
Body dysmorphia.
It depends on the tattoos, honestly
No. I don’t judge people like that.
No lol
Evil is more like it.
Too many of them do but one or two is fine
Yakusa has lots of tatoo
good point!
Nope
Duh.
Not at all
Nope
