I don't get it why so many are agaisnt tattoos. I have heard people saying that tattoos are disgusting and for women they're "unfeminine"... In my opinion, they're pieces of art on your body which tell different stories.
And of course that i will get one in the future, simply because i have always loved tattoos and more reason is because i want to ink down something special and meaningful onto my skin. I have no problem with people who don't like tattoos, to be honest. But hating, judging and being disrespecful to people who have tattoos is just gonna make you an asshole. Almost all of the English teachers at my school have tattoos (and of course that they're visible), and they still have decent jobs in private schools with high paid, plus respects from others. So that means that having tattoos, a few or a lot doesn't dictate your future. And of course i know that having tattoos would definitely make it harder for you to go on job interviews, but the most important things are your attitude and your intelligence, not the way you look.
But i mean... there are also some pretty stupid people...

Bluntly, for westerners moving to asia to teach English is a 'i'm well educated but want to see the world/couldn't get a good job' option. I know people who have done it and loved it, or did it for a while, i'm not trying to put them down, but they are NOT an example of 'being able to get a good job'.
Typically the jobs that have tightest regulation around appearance are more corporate and ESPECIALLY client facing jobs. There's simply no way a guy with neck tattoos can get a job doing corporate sales for 'normal' companies, and it would make it much harder for him to get hired at all in many places. Are there lots of places that would hire? Sure, but you're definitely closing doors.
As for women, tattoos in western culture have traditionally been considered something men did, and were primarily for sailors or criminals. That has loosened up a -lot- but it hasn't entirely vanished to the point where you expect your client rep from some massive company to show up with visible ink.
Personally? No objections to them. But as long as a fair number of people do object, companies aren't going to choose people to represent them with a visible tattoos.
You can hang art on the wall. Five years from now, if you decide that you don't like it, you can take it down and replace it with something else. The human body is beautiful and is not improved with tattoos. I have NEVER seen anyone who I thought was more handsome or more beautiful because they had a tattoo.
It is a fad like all other fashion statements that young people feel compelled to make, but I can cut my hair or stop wearing the Nehru jacket rather easily. One day, people will make a living by removing tattoos that middle-aged and older folks regret having gotten.
I honestly agree with 100% but I'm kinda biased, since I want to be a tattoo artist myself, but tattoos art a form of art and memories, and not all tattoos are meaningful, and you might regret some, but thats a story you can tell, thats a memory you share with someone. I honestly don't like people who down talk people with tattoos, its just like down talking someone for liking any other kind of art.
Other people can do what they want but I find them to be distracting. I don't like them on girls OR guys. That doesn't mean I judge people who have them, people of any character or intelligence level can have tattoos, I just think they are unattractive.
I don't like tattoos for myself, but I like it on some people, if it blends in with their style. As an artist, I do love the designs, but I wouldn't want it on my own body. I just would keep thinking about how they would look like when I'm an elder...
I find them awful. They look awful to me and those examples you posted, the photos with people with HUGE tattoos covering giant parts of their bodies to me look the worst.
For me personally I find them all horribly unattractive.
Men are supposed to be visually oriented well for me they ruined the visuals. And unlike clothes, jewelry or hair styles you can't change them, take them off and they don't grow out.
I just don't date ladies with tattoos. I don't give a flip about all of those tag lines under the photos assuming the wrong impressions we get about people with tattoos. I just think they look awful and ruin the natural beauty of skin. I love skin and bare skin to me is the most beautiful thing and having manmade ink scarred into it with pictures and words is about the least attractive thing on planet Earth.
Most tattoo's just make a person look like a degenerate. Ok, if you have one or two in a place that is hidden, no biggie. But the people in your examples, especially the morons that put them on their neck and face, where do they expect to work? unless they work for themselves, most businesses are not going to hire them. I wouldn't want anyone with tattoo's all over his face and such interacting my any customers of mine. I am absolutely for the right to ruin your body if that is what you choose. My advice is to get good at makeup and cover it up when you have an interview or work. Because they really do look horrible. That being said... I rather date a person with tattoo's then the people that want to put piercings all over themselves.
i personally love tattoos, the only problem is the possibility of regretting it 10 years later or something and having to go through the painful process of getting it removed. if you’re gonna get a tattoo, one way to make sure you like it and it’s the right decision, is to book an appointment a year later and keep the tattoo you want as your lock screen until the appointment. if by then you don’t like it, it’s not too late to change your mind. there are also places where you can get professional tattoos done that fade over time.
i like tattoos because it can represent and mean something and keep u constantly reminded of something important thruout ur life :) altho tattoos shudnt b too much like full bodies :)
So, at least for Christians I could see the reasoning for not liking them. As Christians your body is to be a temple of the Lord. I could see plenty of people seeing tattoos as defiling or in a weird way maiming your body, so I get why it could be considered a negative. Personally I don't think they're sinful or anything of that nature. I think they look really cool even if they're instinctively disconcerting (sorry that was the best term I could think of).
they are pieces of art. i have two at the moment and plan on another two. however when it comes (i know this is a double standard) i like to keep a clean slate as i believe that you can't add anything to the female body to enhance it's beauty. i think they are perfect just the way they are
I don't know, I can take them or leave them. I doubt I would get any myself but I might consider getting one that wasn't too big or obvious. I don't think negatively of people who have them, but I don't like how it looks when there's a bunch of random tats that the person has been collecting.
It looks much better when a person just has one or two highly artistic tattoos that fit with their body shape and stuff... but that's not very common.

I think they can look good on some people, but in my eyes the woman on that picture doesn't look desirable. She looks good, but not feminine. She looks like a "bad guy" in a movie who's about to pull dual uzi and start shooting people. Looks badass for sure, but not feminine. Not only because of her tattoos, but even more because of her facial expression.
Yes sure, but not my style at all. By desirable I mean I wouldn't want to approach her to be my girlfriend. I like more girly and cute girls than tough hot girls. If you know what I mean.
I love tattoos. especially when a good artist does a good work and there's a story behind that tattoo it's awesome, it feels like your getting to know the person very well.
I hate tattoos. I think the fad will end soon enough because generation Z (born after 2000) are very anti tattoo compared to millenials and people who have them will regret it. To me it either looks like shit. Or it looks OK but would look way better on a piece of paper hanging on a wall then on someones skin.
Guys look better with arm/leg tats than girls do, especially arm tattoos. Arm or leg tattoos are very unnattractive towards girls and I wouldn’t date one. It depends on how big the tattoo, the quantity and if she’s an ink freak like MGK or little Wayne, she's breaking a deal and turning me off.
Just from a visual POV: i have never seen a tat that enhanced a woman's appearance. At best it is neutral if it's small and out if the way. A woman could be a 9 without a bunch of tats but only a 3-4 when covered in tats.
I love em. I think they can look good on people if done really well, but of course I'm still a bit judgmental on neck/hand/face tattoos, but I think most people are.
They are cool if they've a meaning or reason... but if you tattoo some stupid chinese/japanese word or stars, hearts... that's just ehhh, ugly too look at.
i do not have any tats, thought about them a few times. i have seen some that looked like they belonged where they were, some like a preschooler was drunk. i guess i am saying some look nice, some not, but like most things it is up to the owner of the body
I love tattoos, is a way to express yourself and be creative. As long as the person knows what they’re putting on their body is permanent, I don’t think is wrong having some.
I don't think I'll ever get one.. On other people, I don't like when they are all over or in very noticeable places. But if they have just a few in discreet places then it's fine..
D. I like em on others, but I always declined. The only one that ever interested me was a badass grim reaper surrounded by dark clouds and a small hellscape on the back right shoulder.
A scratch on a car or a dope ass painting on a car? I think the second thing would be much preferred... but most people just don't want that kind of attention when they're in their car. Which is actually weird, considering they like attention from tattoos.
