Should I have helped her?

The night before last, while working (I drive a tow truck), I saw a woman in a disabled vehicle, out of state plates, by the side of the road with her hazard lights on. It was pouring rain. I could see she was on her cell phone.

I could have stopped to help her, and towed her car anywhere, but I didn't. My first thought was that a young, attractive, woman in a car like this could end up with me getting a false accusation.

Had this been a man I would have definitely stopped.

I am not going to do anything sexual with someone I’m not married to. So if someone tired making something into something it’s not and her heads that far in the gutter. She will look bad in the end.

In times past I would have definitely helped her, but how women can be today I just don't trust them anymore.

Don't you have a dash cam that records sound. You record everything these days for your protection

@sparkie460. I do, but I don't need the hassle of going through false accusation, police, arrest, attorney, asking corporate to produce video, appearance in court, and finally the court grudgingly dropping charges ( but me still having an arrest on my record and attorney fees).

I understand why you have trust issues. If I saw someone broken down on the side of the road, which I have many times, I always ask if I could help them. I would feel really bad if I saw a woman stranded, I didn't stop to offer assistance and found out that something bad happened to her. I would not be able to sleep at night.

You did what you thought was right for you at the time. It was your decision

I never stop to help. There are incidents where a woman pretends to. be stranded. When someone stops to help, guys come out of their hiding places and rob the person who wanted to help.
