Why did she treat me like this even after I helped her?

i left my job 5 months ago i give my boss a months notice.

then i find out in m search to find a new job that she lied to people who called her to asked about me.

she said i did not leave on good terms & that i was not able to be rehired.

both things hr said were wrong

This is why when a HR department exists you DO NOT use your boss as a reference unless you get a reference letter IN writing.

By default of their position HR can not fabricate statements or they're gonna be sued. Bosses say whatever they want verbally and so comes down to a case of he said, she said and you're suing nobody.

Your mistake. Only use your old boss as a reference if you leave on good terms, you've talked to her about why you are leaving, and you explicitly ask her if you can use her as a good reference.

i did leave on good terms i give my two weeks notice on feb 11th but stayed till march 19 to help her out.

i asked her if i could use her as a reference way before i left. she said yes

I interpreted "both things hr said were wrong" as a typo (there are other typos in the post) and read "hr" as "she" meaning that @allquestions is just reinforcing that what the former boss said were wrong. I di not understand that to mean that @allquestions had contacted Human Resources (HR).
