Everyone needs a hug from time to time & as for me I’ll never turn down a hug unless you smell really bad or something like that. As for me when I visit family or family visits me it usually starts off with a hug. As for my neighbors dogs they like running up to me to say hello & when they do I have to give the them a hug & it usually ends up with me grabbing their leashes & going for a run.
Yep. I'm a hugger. It's a way of greeting friends and, often, new acquaintances. It's more typical to hug girls and shake hands with guys. But there are also bro hugs.
My family wasn't into hugging when I was growing up. The idea was foreign to me.
Very early in my first year of high school, I became friends with a couple of girls in an art class. One time I saw one of them across the quad and started walking toward her. She opened her arms to give me a hug but I didn't know what to do, so I stuck to my original plan and pushed my fist into her shoulder like a gentle punch.
The look she gave me said that I had blown it. Then later, a friend told me that people who had seen what happened wondered if I was gay.
I learned my lesson. I soon realized that hugging was a common way of greeting and showing affection. I've been into hugging ever since.
I'm not afraid of germs, either.
I do like giving hugs but I don't hug everybody because I know not all people are fans of physical contact
Nope. I value personal space and boundaries too much.
In other words, you have never felt loved in your life?
I mean, if not hugging a tree means I’ve been deprived of love 😕

I tend to avoid physical touch.
Yesss, I love giving/receiving hugs and hugging cute animals :3 hehehe. I also hug trees, pillows, my blanket, plushies, anddd... other hooman beans I meet.
All dogs. My friends. Anybody I served with. Few dozen people from the race circuit. Rando critters that will let me.
I pretty much hug anyone I know, unless they don't like touching.
Hugging family, partners, and my affectionate friends
Wasn’t raised in a hugging family. Plus hugging everyone wasn’t a thing in my younger years. Will return hugs but don’t usually initiate them!
I have serious problems with people getting near me. I also lack the ability to bond with people. I'm a very polite and respectful person but sometimes I might say the wrong thing. I'm not like other people and I realized it at a young age.
If I know them, out of respect, I hug both men and woman when I meet them. Others I shake their hands.
I mean I would love to but people are not very huggy so I mostly just hug my cats. If someone wanted to hug me it would be a culture shock since my local friends right now are guys who will never hug.
I hug friends and family any time I see them, besides one friend, hugging him was awkward as awkward could be. Now, it's a handshake.
I hug people when I greet them, friends, work colleagues etc.
I hug relatives, some friends and obviously I would hug my wife or girlfriend if I had one,
I am not. Apart from the people I consider the closest to me, I don't give hugs.
Any woman is fair game. The only dudes I hug are relatives or a very short list of buddies.
Wasn't too much in my upbringing- I'm working on that.
No. Usually I don’t want people touching me. But sometimes my friends I’ll hug
A few friends and family. I hug my man and my cat everyday
Not really, I don’t know why but I’m not a hugger. I only hugged like 3 people in my whole life 🤣
only my dog mostly , I don't want catch things I can't spell
I usually hug girls when I meet them and when I haven’t seen them in a long time.
Only if I'm close enough to the person. If not, hell no.
I can't remember the last time I was hugged.
Relatives, friends, some colleagues
