I do hug but really don't like to. I always get complaints from women when I hug them, no, it isn't because my *you know what is poking them"(though I'm sure it's happened), it's because I give them the back slap. A few have actually gotten angry and said that's not how you're supposed to hug a girl! You gently squeeze them and maybe a quick back rub. Like one friend told me, "I'm not your bro"! Is there truth to this?

Depends... usually I don't go in for hugs myself since I don't wanna misread the room and make things weird, but I usually won't decline hugs from other people all that often. Not unless it's someone I REALLY don't like or I'm just in a REALLY bad mood. When I'm in a bad mood and someone hugs me against my will it almost seems like a form of assault.

Yep! 👍 I'm a bigger. In fact I would give anything to get a 🫂 hug from someone very special to me and I don't think we would stop that hug for a long time. No talking, just hugging!
Too bad it's physically impossible to do 💔

I am not, I have hugged very few people. Mostly side-shoulder hugs with 1-2 good friends (guys). Not because I don't like hugs, but because that's all the chance I have ever gotten. I'm used to it now, so it feels weird when it happens once in a while

I hug most females... side hugs most of the time. Guys I usually just shake hands, sometimes hug if they're family or a friend I haven't seen in a long time.

I'm a guy that doesn't really like too much physical contact unless it's my partner.

I am a hugger although these days you have to be careful since some people do mind if you try to hug them. I am also a person that likes to hold hands with the girl I am walking with when out and about.

I love a good hug.

I do have one friend who not always wants a hug, so we've learnt for them to initiate, or ask them where they're at on the particular day.

Not really, unless they’re huggers. My two guy best friends and three of my casual female friends are huggers. I normally tolerate it from them. I don’t like it though and nor do my best female friend, or my casual guy friend.
