Could I get a credit card with a bad credit?

Yeah probably. It is going to have a crap interest rate and low limit on it most likely. It may even have to be tied to a bank account. That all depends on how bad your credit really is and what you are willing to put up with as far as terms of the card. I only have a couple and make sure they are paid off monthly. If you do the same (assuming you can get one) then your credit will improve and you can open more favorable lines of credit. Just don't overstretch yourself with whatever you get and make sure it is always paid off.

If you must, you can start with a pre-paid credit card. You'll have to deposit money that you won't be able to withdraw, but you'll get a credit card based on that. You need to use the card regularly and if you want to build a good credit score, you need to pay off MOST (but not quite all) of it every month, and the single most important thing: you must pay your bill by the DUE date (which is EARLIER than the "late" date).

For example, your bill may say "payment due by 3/20" and "you will be assessed a late fee if received later than 3/28". Many people think they're doing fine by paying by 3/27 because they weren't changed a late fee, but their payment was still considered to be late (because it was after the due date of 3/20), and that negatively affects their credit score. The due date is THE important date, and you need to pay the bill no later (and hopefully earlier) than the due date if you want to increase your credit score.

You can but they probably won't be the best credit cards and your limit will be very low. Not to mention high interest rates.
