Why do some people slam everything all the time?

When I was in my home country (Malaysia), I used to live with at least 3 roommates (different apartments) and I am sure I am not just being sensitive. They slammed almost everything. The house door, cabinet, windows, refrigerator door, toilet seat, microwave, you name it. Now that I live in the US, I notice my husband’s uncle is the same way. Whenever he comes to our place, I could tell it is him without seeing his face from the unnecessary noise that he makes.

Wow, I was literally thinking about this just the other day. I don't understand it either or how they can tolerate that noise. I've lived in places where all the neighbors slammed their front doors, balcony doors, and bathroom doors lol. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

People slam things because they can't hear it and people have a bizarre obsession with being able to hear things. People that don't slam don't have that obsession or can hear things
