Did any of you hear about the, “stoner rats”, in New Orleans?

Apparently, drug evidence keeps disappearing from the evidence room and the New Orleans Police Superintendent’s explanation is, “the rats are eating it! You should just see it, they’re all high”! Could this possibly be true or are they hallucinating from an acid trip (evidence)?

If they are storing evidence in a wooden shack out back, then it may be plausible, but then you'd have to question the leadership's decision making skills.

Otherwise, I'm not buying it, because there are dirty cops stealing from the evidence lockup. And if THAT'S true - as I suspect it is - you REALLY have to question the leadership.

The Big Easy isn't exactly known for its police department being model citizens...

The New Orleans police department and city government is one of the most corrupt in the country! If the superintendent said rats are eating it and partying all night, no one in that government will question it.

@Billlewis I lived in Texas in ‘06-08 and a lot of the cities had former residents of New Orleans that were relocated after the hurricane. It was a nightmare for those cities. Their crime skyrocketed! The schools were suffering…. Texas was trying to get them to go back but they didn’t wanna leave!
