Is it rude for a guy to ask for a kiss after giving a lady he knows flowers?

Generally so, as with asking for anything in exchange for a gift. I think you could playfully get away with it as a joke with a big smile, but I wouldn't attempt it seriously if you want to make a good impression. That's a pretty risky move if you try it seriously.

Oh, fancy, like "May I have a kiss?" That's a level of smoothness I couldn't pull off with any degree of seriousness to it. It's at least a bit too risky for me to pull off. I don't have the skill for it.

Yes, like that. Some guy almost got a kiss from her that way when giving her flowers, but it turned out to be a prank and the flowers sprayed water on her, she was mad and upset.
