Doctor wants to see me again?

So I already had an appointment with my doctor about blood test results I got back he said everything is fine and normal and now I got a text to login into my hotdoc account and the message was “your doctor would like to see you for a non urgent appointment to discuss test results and to book an appointment” we already discussed the test results did he not look properly? if it’s non urgent what does that mean and why do I have to go in why couldn’t he just leave a message or ring me?

Doctors do make mistakes when reading lab results. Sometimes the look at them too fast and miss something. That happened to me before.

I went to the emergency room because I had bruises on my thighs and red marks on my back like scratch marks.

When they stuck the needle in blood went running all the way down my arm, all over my watch. That should have been a red flag that my blood was too thin.
But the doctor said everything was fine and sent me home.

Two days later he called me at work and admitted he overlooked something on my blood work and said to come back to the emergency room right away.

I had something wrong with my blood - it was way too thin. I had tests and biopsy and more tests for over a week.

They thought I had leukemia. They didn't know why I was loosing my blood platelets so fast. They wanted to take my spleen out so I wouldn't bleed to death. But I said no because I had a little boy to take care of.

It turns out I have a genetic blood disease. Years later my uncle had the same thing. They wanted to take his spleen out and he said no and he died.

So you never know.

I agree with the other that said call and ask but sometimes they won't put you through to the provider but you can usually ask to speak with their nurse. The nurse can then relay any messages back and forth.

That could be an automated message his office's system sends out to anyone after they get test results back. If you want to know whether the doc actually wants to meet with you, just send him a text to ask why you received the message to set an appointment.

I already got test results back and it was discussed now we are discussing it again Wednesday lol I just feel like he shouldn’t have left anything out if he looked properly

What a pain in the ass. It sounds like the want to bill for the office visit. Potentially, you could have values in your blood that are "acceptable" but trending high for your age.
