i actually came to a customer home visit, for a technician job at 3pm. (EST when eclipse in n. y. c.)

as planned i relied on "instant replay" so i searched for a video n watched the total eclipse.

i watched the video from the observe in mexico! where total eclipse.

the sun disk was round all around, until a part on its edge looked uneven. a black flying saucer slowly slid over covering part of the sun. so i accelerated the playback. finally the dark plate covered all but a thin sliver, but other places only part covered. finally all covered! and in the darkest moment... no sun remained... the light spread around the moon, like a ring of light that grew brighter. it became a thick layer of bright flame blaze around the moon.

i read that in different places, different edges of the sun got covered, bottom or side or betwen, depending on the angle.

Very weird/interesting effect. It was totally dark in the office and we had to turn on the lights in the hallway, meanwhile it was nice blue sky looking out the window.

It felt like it was dusk/early nightfall for an hour or so, then it was daytime again.

I was actually in my room when my mom came in and said the eclipse was starting so I threw on some jeans and sneakers and went to the backyard to see it because I can't see it from my bedroom window because there's a big tree in the way of the sun

I wish I had driven just a little further west to see the totality, but we were at like 98% here. Couldn’t take off the glasses but it was still amazing to watch. I’m so glad the clouds parted, it was so cloudy here this morning.

The eclipse is absolutely beautiful. Our universe is so majestic and so peaceful. It’s so cool we can only see it through certain eyes.  And I was at work lol

I saw it live outside of the doctors office with special sunglasses given to me by strangers to look at it, and it was awesome me and my friend got a good view
