For starters you want to make sure your phone number is registered on The National Do Not Call Registry.

If you are already registered it’s time to start reporting unwanted phone calls & the numbers the jokers are calling from.
The next step is to block the callers number through your cellphone provider by getting hold of them & not just clicking block on your cellphone.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/XWADqAqzqccIn addition robotic calls automatically dial number after number looking for victim after victim & they hear you say hello or something like that bingo they got you.
However if they hear a tone like this or something that sounds like a fax machine they automatically disconnect.
I have tried to report spam calls and was told if they don’t originate within the United States. There was nothing to be done. I am registered on both do not call lists. But to no avail. As for blocking every number that you don’t know. I have friends that have been called by their own number? Spoofing should be illegal!
In a perfect world. Your suggestions would work!
A while back I had a call from this Indian Guy, asking me if I had any computer problems.. I said "why yes, yes i do" (I actually repair them)
He went through his patter of telling how he was going to fix it for me. Press this , go here and press that. Eventually after 15 or so minutes, he says to me I don't understand why I can't see your computer on my screen. and then he asked me if I pressed all these buttons and went to this site etc etc..
I said no sorry. I was having computer problems remember? SO I took it in to the shop for repair! He swore at me and rang off.. I've not heard anything since..
Scammers from India are the worst.
Hilarious
@TommyMountainFigure. You should never say yes to a telemarketer. With AI. You never know what you just approved by saying yes.
@daniela1982 Yes they are.
Thank you for MHO
Work can sometimes, all the time be stressful. When they call and while they are giving their pitch, I think about everything that pissed me off. When they pause, I let out the most terrifying acream I can. Those hyenas can't disconnect Fast enough! It's really therapeutic!
They don't even get the privilege to hear me say hello lol. I dont answer, and if I do on accident thinking it's an important phone call, I hang up immediately once they start talking

they are DIFFERENT companies!
i sometimes get moved to sales department... consider:
just kuz 3 other companies called yu before i did, doesn't mean MY call is "over and over".
if someone prank calls you , blow a whistle in phone, not for people doing you a FAVOR offering you a good deal.
admittedly when they call ME i say that i am busy and close it.
if you are not interested SAY "not interested " politely then hang up on them!
but IDIOTS just hang up... obviously i will call them back! they didn't say they were not interested!
morons! 🤯😮🤔
Get aura. They go through and find everyone that has your info and removes you from their lists.
Get a burner phone and a spare email for purchases and everything not direct doctor's appointments or friends.
Sometimes I just keep them on the line or say that I need to search for something they want and lay down the phone and go back and hang up after they hang up.
Best not to even talk to them anymore. I had a lawyer tell me that with AI they record your voice and then rearrange your words to make purchases or try to hack your accounts.
I don't answer phone numbers I don't recognize. Plus, my phone automatically let's me know of scams.
Basically, I ignore them.
They don’t call anymore. They send texts with links.
I hang up summarily and block their numbers. Many have a series of I outside lines, so my list is long. Sooner or later they give up.
Pick up the phone let them start their spiel but say nothing just let them yap to dead air. Its not worth loosing your cool with them.
The Do Not Call registry is still active in the US. Once you’re registered, if any calls get through you can report the number and that should put an end to it. Just don’t answer unidentified callers.
If I do not recognize the number I do not pick up the phone.
Play a sine wave and then answer the phone and put the phone to your speaker.
Delete, delete, delete. If in doubt, delete. If you haven't written down an order for something, delete it. We've tried the NDNCR- the crap still comes.
And did I mention, delete?
I let Google screen all calls that are not in my contacts.
if I see no name, I don't pick it up... simple
Turn your phone off, problem solved. Mine is only turned on during work hours.
Answer in a foreign my dad did that in Finnish 😂
Start reading scripts to them.
Hang up on them
I'd just block the number
Either ignore them and then block their number.
Put them on hold ever leave them on hold
let the machine answer
Who actually has answering machines anymore?
I never pick up.
Block
Block them.
