What do I do with temporary car registration?

My sticker didn't come yet, do I leave the paper between the dashboard and the windshield or?

The temporary registration is mostly for insurance purposes now. As soon as police run your plate, they know if your registration is current. It’s good to have it handy in the event of a mixup, but you don’t have to leave it in plain sight; just produce it upon request.

They CAN, but they probably won’t. Again, as soon as they run the plate, they know if the registration is current. They don’t need the paperwork. In the unlikely event you do get a ticket, you can have it waived by showing your registration after the fact.
