Did anyone save their COVID money that the government kept giving us during COVID-19? Do you still have the money?

I saved mine and didn't spend it. Actually it was a good way to start saving money in a savings account. I couldn't have saved that much money on my own.

I have living in the UK at the time and wasn’t allowed access to public funds so I didn’t get scwaddle. And since I wasn’t technically living in Canada, they didn’t give me monies either. Lucky for me my company covered me 100% so I didn’t suffer like many others.

It just went into my bank account and it was a while ago so I couldn't say but I have a savings account that minimum 1/4 of my income goes to. I don't make very much money but live with a roommate and I rarely ever splurge on anything.

Technically, I still do but, I never got my second half of my second check. From what I recall, we were supposed to get $600 one day and about $1200 a few days later. I never got the $1200.

I got two checks and a friend of mine got four I think. He got the first two like everyone, then they sent people that do their taxes another one, then our State had so much excess money, he got another $600 that they gave to senior citizens..
So he made out like a bandit.

Someone suggested that it was because I needed to fill out some kind of tax form but, I'm on SS so, I don't have to file taxes. The year before my aunt died, she made me fill one out and we took it to H&R Block to check for mistakes and they said there was no point in my even filing it. I didn't have to pay taxes.

I collected unemployment for 18 months. I imagine I saved some of it.

Because of $1800 from the government I wouldn't consider us lucky.
America 🇺🇸 is a shit hole now. America was once called the land of the beautiful but not anymore.
I'm sure if there was another pandemic, the government couldn't afford to give us those checks! Not since we have approximately 16 million illegal aliens living here now.
There is no more law and order. They don't put known murders in jail and keep them there.
I could go on and on, but a check for $1800 doesn't make up for food prices that are so high people can't afford to eat. Electric bills are sky high. Gasoline is so high people cannot afford to go anywhere unless they have to.
No, we aren't lucky! The democrats made sure Americans are miserable!
