Absolutely there is a difference. A house is just four walls with whatever you choose to place between them. A home though, is somewhere you look forward to spending time in when you aren't there, and enjoy being in when you are.
It's the difference between a apart of something special, or merely existing.

Home and yes their is a difference. It is as simple as "it takes a man to make a house but it takes a wife to make a house a home."

I think a home has more sentimental value, whereas a house is just a place to get out of the elements.
I agree with Dave Chapelle, that men only get a house because women want a house. A man could live in a cardboard box.
I remember one episode of "House Hunters" the guy was like, "The wife needs a couch, a bed, a TV, a coffee table, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a kitchen. If it was up to me, I would be happy with just a mattress and portable stove, so I could have more money for travel."
So for the sake of answering this question, I'll say "house". A home requires a lot of work and investment.
I prefer a home. Home is where the heart is, and that is very true for me - my home is my partner, my cat, my family. I can live anywhere as long as I have my home. I’ve lived in many houses but they’ve never felt like a home without my loved ones.
A home. But a home can be a house. A house is a house. But a home can be any type of dwelling. As long as you're happy and comfortable that's what counts.
I'd love to have a comfortable cave as my home - with built-in things that are important to me.
So it's not necessarily the same.
Well a house is a home but a home may not be a house. Home would be my answer but I love owning a house. I just wish I could shed some of the responsibilities of a house back to that of a home.
There's a big difference. A home is where people live. A house is just a building.
Yes. One is shelter the other is a private oasis of your own design with people who you can be authentic with and no judgements
prefer a home. It makes me feel safe and content.
home cuz it implies a deeper emotional connection meanwhile a house is a physical place
Etymology wise…not really. House is more descriptive. Home could be cardboard box in Griffith park.
A house is a Home.. a Home is where you feel safe
There's no difference. Have you thought about it much?
My house is my home.
Home with my man
