Unfortunately, the EU believes that it is a European country, simply because Istanbul is located on the European side while 90% of the country is actually in Asia. Thus, Turkey should be an Asian country and not a European one.
For Europe in general, Turkey is a huge problem because a lot of illegal immigrants to Europe come from Turkey and the Erdogan government is not doing anything to stop it. As a matter of fact, the Turkish government is promoting illegal immigration to Europe and exacerbates the immigration problem in Europe.
From my point of view, Turkey is solely an Asian country and should never be seen as a European country.
Eurasian or Middle Eastern. Only a very small part of Turkey is in Europe.
I guess it can be part of Europe if it gives up being another muslim dictatorship... but as long as it is one, I will consider it part of the middle east.
I think that it's neither.
Similar to India, this area dwells on its past, and has difficulties to connect to the present.

I would say mid east is most used term. Eurasia is more accurate. Thought balkans and Turkey are like the perceived border area.
Don’t make us go count dracul on your asses again!
Middle East even though a small part of it is technically in Europe.
I think if the world had a sweaty armpit this is exactly where it would be
No that's southern Afghanistan.
