A bit and has been said, popular culture has them wrong.
When you say Viking axes, you need to say from what period as they evolved.

Axes were carried by the Varangian guard who fought for the Byzantium Empire, these were also Vikings, although they had settled around Kiev

I'm swedish myself and we learn everything about the vikings by default in our schools. And the way AC Valhalla depicts vikings has many flaws. Overuse of fur, a common trope, no helmets nor chainmails, this axe in the image which I believe is meant to be a bearded axe is too thick as well. Then there's the whole matter of the protagonist being named "Eivor" which is a girl's name. Specifically a very old girl's name, the kind you only see old retirement ladies have here.

Wow, that's a real niche area. Ask about it on Quora if nobody does here.

Sounds a bit like a Roman Empire question.
