I have a mix of cars for this reason, the problem with go anywhere cars is you have to be prepared for the odd bit of damage to the car, buying a newish car then getting surprised it’s had some undertray or bodywork damage would be silly lol.
Also a lot of good fast cars are AWD, such as BMW M3 Tourer, that does 0-60mph in about 3.6 seconds with a top end of 155mph (or 174mph). It’s also a tourer (a station wagon for the us), it is great from trips up to Scotland in winter, handles snow, bad weather etc, fine on grass and it takes a lot of luggage etc.
Both are actually pretty impractical for every day life. I prefer a standard passenger car which is reasonably fuel efficient, cheap to service and easy to park.
You only need an off road capable 4x4 if you are actually going off road. As for a fast sports car, you never actually need that ever because the speed on the roads is limited and public roads are not racetracks.
So if I absolutely HAD to keep one of these types of vehicles, it would be the 4x4 because I could at least utilise that if I decided to take a proper camping trip to the outback. But not a Land Rover. I’d get one which will actually get me to my destination.

I just prefer a car that keeps running and doesn't eat me out of house and home in repair bills and gas. If it also looks nice and is fun to drive then that's a big bonus.
I'm not a big fan of driving fast since that is a good way to get yourself killed. I'm also not planning to drive across the Sahara desert or the Pacific Ocean and I drive on normal roads so I don't really care if it's capable of more esoteric treks.
a comfortable one
Anywhere because I'm not in that much of a hurry
