Why do some people take such Hot showers?

Usually when I shower it's warm not hot just comfortably warm not cold not almost hot, its usually between cool and hot. However when I showered with my girlfriend that water was so hot it almost felt like fire. I wish I was exaggerating this but it really felt that hot.
But I just don't understand why some people take such hot showers

Usually I get only mid temperature showers, between hot and cold but sometimes I need to have a bit of relaxation, maybe after a tough day or maybe because I have pains to shoulders so I try relieving a bit doing hot and long shower. It helps.

Different people have different temperature tolerance. I like mine warm, my wife hot

I know what you mean. I love a warm shower but hate a pipping hot shower and my Husband loves it. I think is just comforting and relaxing for him.

I love a good hot shower, especially if I've got very cold, sometimes it just has to be really hot for the warmth to make it through my body
