As far as we know those animals don't act out of pure malice while with humans it is different. The mental issue thing in many cases is an excuse and I also think people throw that card to get less years in prison. There are people with severe mental health issues who never harm a fly

Lol nah such discussions are not about winning, they are mostly about learning. You never express stuff in a way to provoke, at least not towards me. You simply share your thoughts. I learn a thing or two and vice-versa. Even dementia, even when you have an extreme case of Dissasociative Identity Disorder if the cruel intention isn't there you won't harm. I mean, there are psychopaths and sociopaths who never harm or kill although they can be toxic in other ways.
Winning is how I like calling it, it's not actually winning but when you make a good point to persuade someone and change their mind about the topic, it feels like a win, if not better, it's definitely not the same as winning a simple game of rock, paper scissors lol

if that's the case then isn't it possible that animals have that same form of thinking when making decisions, if they know what that specific decision is going to result in, for example, venomous snakes may not know they are venomous but I'm sure they have done a bite so many times they must know how effective it is right? And if so... then wouldn't that kinda be malicious thinking? 🤔
I know animals ways of thinking is very limited but I don't think it's so limited that they forget what their own bites or scratches or hits (etc) can do, mostly considering that they must remember the other times they have done the same act and must know the results of it no?
For example my cat knows that her going all meow meow for long enough will result in getting food or water in her bowl, it seems like they might have that same form of thinking with their aggressive behavior, I've seen my ferret attack my cat and then after that... get close to my cat and stare at for a while before walking away, it just seems like it knows its being a little asshole 😂
Yeah they have a way of thinking but I think when they bite or attempt to eat someone they either do it for survival because they are hungry and they see us as food or they consider us a threat and they are trying to protect themselves. Although there aren't many researches on animal behavior but do you think they derive pleasure from killing or attacking? I think they are either hungry as fuck or they do so as a form of protection.
As for animals that live us I think that is slightly different because they sort of "adapt" to us because they live a long time with us and they get used to our routines etc.
For example even wild animals that are kept in sanctuaries are usually not aggressive towards humans, especially the ones that look after them
I see where you are coming from and make good points but some things are just unexplainable if we were to say that animals can't be assholes, cause dolphins use pufferfish as not only a drug but as a ball as well, they legit hit pufferfish like they are a volleyballs, it wild 😂
Wouldn't doing something messed up for fun technically be malice in its own way? If I was walking around a picking on some kid by taking all his Halloween candy cause it's fun to be that makes me an asshole lol
