Do you like horses?

Question

I am a horse girl at heart. Been living my best life in Turkey and picked horseback riding as an activity for my friends and i to do. They all loved it🤗

I actually use to compete in show jumping as a kid so it was great to be around horses again. I miss my childhood horse like crazy but this baby looks so much like her 😌

It's an odd creature, I understand we are supposed to have domesticated them but that is the theory. In practice, I didn't domesticate them myself so... The last time I met a horse, I was not acting Vladimir Rambo, more like:

"oh uh okay, hiiiii, stay cool buddy, yeah, wow these muscles, we're friends right? Please. Eh don't do.. You're too tall for me. How can I mount. Damn. What is this sorcery?"

Acquired taste I know but still, so impressive this horse lol

If I had the resources I'd love to breed Shire Horses. Gorgeous creatures. I'm fairly sure they're also the best option for future transport. Seriously.

They're the ultimate renewable energy. And if you hook up a team to a wagon they're stronger than Clydesdales and go longer. Just make sure to collect any emissions to put on the garden...

I don't know I think they are pretty animals, my dads uncle owned a stable so I could go there anytime I wanted to ride horses for free. Tho I was always kind of scared of them because they are so tall, could kick you, bite your fingers if you don't feed them with the palm of your hand lol Maybe because I was introduced and warned at only 4 years old it sort of stuck with me to stay away from them.

I don't dislike them and I think they are beautiful animals... but I'm just not the best with horses tbh. I had back pain from riding and I have a dust allergy so going to the stables was always rather unpleasant to me. I'm glad you're having a good time with horses though!

I’m scared of them for a silly reason. I have arachnophobia and when I was a kid I saw a movie where a young boy is brushing a horse in a stable, a spider crawls onto the horse and bites it, and the horse gets spider abilities and shoots webs out of its mouth at the young boy, wrapping him up before eating him. It traumatised me and I’ve never been able to look at horses the same ever since lol.

Grew up with Arabians a Quarter horses. Mostly trail riding, 4H shows and the occasional trip to the mountains.

My mother continues working with them at an Equine rescue farm. She recently got reminded that she's too old to break stallions any more.

I love horses.

I grew up taking care of horses (mucking stalls/pastures/corrals, changing their bedding, feeding them, blanketing them, etc etc) and eventually was invited to ride some really cool horses. I loved every part of it.

I find horses interesting, Im a vet and a big history guy so naturally I've read a lot of incredible battles and rides done on these creatures and it's insane.

I've been around them but never ridden one, that's definitely on my bucket list though.

Yea I like the shape of their heads, they are strangely shaped but it's pretty satisfying to the soul to see such a strangely shaped head, it's long but somewhat round and they move it all like 🫨
