Is it me or is autocorrect rubbish these days! My spell mistakes are more caused by it then corrected by it?

For instance I wrote fisting and it put fishing. And fuck it prefers fick which isn't even a word I don't think! And I know I can turn it off but I do like how it changes my 'I' to capital and puts the apostrophe things into don't and can't etc lol.

I agree, autocorrect has been getting worse since AI took off. At least that's when I think it started. I also get nonsense word suggestions. For example, this eveningI sent a friend this message:

huh? what? What made you think invertebrates is a reasonable choice?

GAG makes it even worse by spelling out common acronyms like f-w-b, b-f, s-o and others (without the dashes -- to fool their AI.)

It creates some odd and maybe funny issues. Like sending someone a job in Camarillo (California) and having it autocorrect to Amarillo and being told "I'll go from Long Beach to Santa Barbara, but I don't cover Texas." Or its insistance on adding an apostrophe and separating the name ArentFox Schiff (a large law firm) making it Aren't Fox Schiff. Some are much worse.

So yes, it can be rubbish.

I get way less spelling suggestions than I used to and I have no idea why 😓 (I'm terrible at typing and have a love/hate relationship with autocorrect. Been letting me down a lot lately though)

OK this raises a ton of questions... Someone asks something that has nothing todo with sex and it gets put in the sexual pile of questions.. You mention fisting and F**ing and it goes into OTHER?

I have a strange sense of humour but that tickled me. I wanna take a snapshot of that..

Yh and know what it does now? I've misspelt 'and' so many times typing fast and hitting wrong key it autocorrects my correct spelling to the wrong spelling lol
