What did COVID ruin for you?

COVID 2020 ruined a lot of things for everyone. People lost loved ones, their jobs, teenagers missed out how life events such as prom and graduation.

what did COVID take away from you?

for me, my trip to Europe with my family got canceled 🥲 definitely not as bad as what others have missed out on. I can always plan it again. But damn lol.

Covid is what lit the match in the US. There are still people who deny it has happened because they want so badly to live in a world I guess where there was an innocence in their minds, and to deny just makes them feel superior, like they know something you don't. Flat earther and holocaust denier mentality, I suppose. I've lost a few relationships with people who just don't want to exist in this reality. Like a lot of people, lost family members to Covid. My online clothing business took a deep hit because no one was buying anything because they weren't going out, and my photography business got so bad, I had to fold it with no parties, graduations, or weddings happening for the better part of 2 years. I was set to visit my brother who had just moved to another state, a week before shut-down and still have not had the chance to visit him (though he has come to visit me). My dad was also traveling abroad at the time, and he was thisclose to not being able to come back to the US for YEARS like his cousin had he not basically ditched the rest of his trip to come home early.

My brother graduated in 2020 and he seemed to still have all the benefits - went to his school ball and had graduation. The family even went on a holiday to Queensland in February, so we didn't miss any travelling.

I did miss out on some group events, concerts and experiences in the real world. But I was spending 6 months playing Among Us with mates so eh it evened out

I live in Florida. Nothing was looked down, we didn't wear masks, we didn't social distance, etc. The people that took a pass on getting the experimental vaccine lived happy healthy lives and never caught COVID. The people that joined the voluntary genocide got sick and got sick often from the experimental vaccine. Some died, some are disabled now, and some have lost new born children that were miscarried... What COVID ruined for me was my perception that people would avoid getting in trains to death camps and to line up for a shower in a gas chamber if only you told them what was in store for them. Before COVID it seemed like common sense that people would listen to reasonable advice from educated people, but they really don't. Most people do not have a mind of their own.

Thinking about it grocery stores comes to mind. A lot of stores by me used to be open 24 hours & if you wanted to go food shopping at 2:00 in the morning you could. If you were hungry & wanted a midnight snack you could go shopping. Covid hit hours changed & a lot of stores didn’t go back to the way things used to be.

in my family a few people lost their lives because of virus... mostly older people who couldn't vaccinate on time because of other health problems...

but virus also forced companies to let us work from home :D

and it's the most wonderful thing that happened :D

Nothing. That's life and in the future there'll always be things out of your control that will be another core event. We just do the best we can and push forward. It's how we react to these shit moments that'll define us. Y'all enjoy the rest of life and I wish you the best 💚

I was lead guitar and vocalist in a band. When the hysteria hit, everything shut down and the band broke up.

I had a lot of friends who swallowed the hysteria hook, line and sinker. My wife and I became persona non grata with people we had been best friends with for over 15 years because we refused to take the clot shots.

Some wonderful local restaurants went out of business when they were forced to shut down.

I do not have the same lifestyle I did before CoVid changed the economy and the work landscape. I do not leave the house all the time to buy lunch or snacks or dinner or to go to a physical job where I talk to people and exercise my body. Now I work online and I avoid leaving the house. I wear masks for medical appointments instead of going bare faced.

My overall health went from my being disabled to the point of no longer being able to work but still being able to somewhat enjoy life before COVID, to now pretty much just being a burden to other people for my basic needs to keep body and soul together.

I'm hoping that things will get better.

Losing 9 months in hospital, 3 of them in a coma. Needing CPR to resuscitate me. Being too weak after all that shit to survive the antibiotics that would have saved my foot and so having to have my right leg below the knee amputated.

I can deal with all that.

My son was 18 months old. I lost being with him while he grew that year.

And why? Because the WHO decided to see if the whole planet would roll over like pussies. And it did.

I lost so many family members , church members and family friends… couldn’t even say goodbye.
I had to move back home after moving to another state
I couldn’t do anything I planned to do that year… I planned to get out of my shell, do intern programs, vacation… I was 22 at the time and took a big leap of faith… I was back to square one… but even more depressed and extremely anxious. So much ish was happening.

It may have become slightly stressful and I did catch it in 2020 even during lockdowns sigh as I was working : yet I also enjoyed the benefits of less traffic, savings, 😀 and also feeling smug knowing many more successful people than me - had their plans ruined in 2020-2021. A friend lost her husband, not to COVID, but due to botched treatment.

24 hour grocery stores. Summer time i prefer to be out at night when i can't get burnt and the weather is cooler. I liked shopping at night when i didn't have to worry about a large amount of traffic on the roads or a bunch of people in the stores. Covid ruined that

Nothing at all really. It got me back to my roots. I went hiking, fishing, etc. While everyone was complaining about not being able to go to the mall and shop, I was out enjoying the great outdoors and totally at peace.

My blood. It's cursed forever. I refused the forced jab of poison for as long as I did until I lost my job in 2022 and my only new job managed to pressure me to get the jab of poison or risk homelessness at my most vulnerable state. Since then my blood has been marked with dishonor and shame. Like an inner darkness and corruption, that resides in my very body. I can't take it back.

I won't have kids. I don't want them to experience what I was made to go through.
