To me it just looks like breeders trying to bypass regulations on dangerous breeds by changing it slightly and giving it a new name.
Never heard the term "American Bully" before. They are just called Pitbulls or Pits or Pitbull Terriers, so yeah its the same breed.
bully has a bulldog nose snout, differs from pit bull.

I just don't trust American ones they seem to always be more aggressive or bad breeding I don't know..
Every Pitbull I've ever met was a big friendly baby. The aggression claim for the breed is very exagerrated.
No definitely not lol
I on the other hand have only seen like 2 or 3 out of tons thats friendly, you probably have known most of the people who keep the breed and it's probably different if you don't. Also I did add bad breeding is to blame like people breeding them for aggression I have seen more of them types and not being brought up correctly so over here in the UK they had to change the laws a lot to try to stop these dogs from killing and mauling making them a banned breed it's been a better safer place for it, most definitely because even if it's all perfect the dog can just go into fury mode on a got day or just pissed off and is to aggressive to stop you obviously haven't read up about this breed at all they are known for it you know?
"Bad breeding" (mixing the breed) is not to blame. Purebred dogs are heavily inbred, so any purebreed would be more likely to be agressive from inbreeding than from having a deeper genepool, but that would be do to things that would like tumors, not selecting traits.
The breed of the dog had nothing to do with temperment, its how you treat the dog that effects temperment. So if most of the Pits you run across were aggressive, then either you don't know any good dog owners, or you yourself are scaring/abusing the dogs.
Most pits are sweet. I've never even met an aggressive one despite meeting many people who had them. Perhaps your neighborhood has dog fighting rings or people who beat their dogs.
do to things like*
No I said bad breeding as is breeding them for aggression but yes mixed breed is banned too but not for your reason you need to read up about this stuff because I've told you enough you obviously don't understand reality and are probably American. I've never known people to do dog fighting here it's frowned upon in the UK we have rules for keeping all kinds of dangerous things like guns and all kinds of stuff that can kill you too believe it or not..
Its not possible to breed for temperment, you raise for temperment (even then you will ocassionally have a problem child that can't be trained, but their parents or siblings or offspring could all be docile).
They are just like humans, most will be just fine, a few will try to push their luck and take charge but can be trained out of it, and a very small number will be psychotic and there is nothing you can do but jail them.
Mixed breeds are not banned here, muts of every breed are just as common as pure breds, if not moreso because professional dog breeders are rare and most dog births are accidental. But this has no impact on temperment.
Pure breeding is frowned upon here by a lot of people, because inbreeding causes health defects, its the American view that things like pugs or bulldogs for example, should never have been created, because its cruel to the dogs to deform their skulls that way and cause them breathing, sight, and cognative problems.
People here are encouraged to adopt pre-spayed/preneutered dogs from shelters when possible, because accidental births are so common that the shelters are overfilled. However breeders do exist in numbers high enough to get a purebred dog after waiting a few months on a waiting list, but it will costs thousands of dollars for just 1 dog, so most people adopt from shelters for less than $100 with all shots and spaying/neutering included.
Dog fighting is illegal here in the US, but so is murder, prostitution, rape, harming/killing endagered species, littering, etc. and there are still the rare people who do those things in this country despite most people here frowning upon it (they get arrested). So I was mentioning dog fighting as a cause under the context of that being one of the few instances that trains for aggression, as outside of that circumstance, you just don't see aggression all that much. But dog fighting itself is rare.
Keep in mind we have a lot more people and a lot more dogs in the US, and despite this, aggressive pits are rare, whether purebred or muts, aggressive dogs in general are rare.
Maybe stop inbreeding them, and check for brain tumors, or stop abusing your dogs? 🤷🏻 We just don't have the behavior problems that your pits have.
Something else worth noting:
Outside of the ocassional police trained german shepard, or livestock hearding border collie, or the unusual drug sniffing airport beagle (or the extremely rare dog fighter pitbull/rottweiler), most people here adopt dogs as pets that we treat like human babies/toddlers, not as work animals for specific tasks, but as lap dogs, playmates, a member of the family, etc.. And so they act like babies and toddlers (docile, loving, happy, and play oriented).
Exceptions are rare.
People hear spend tons of cash in correct breeding now it's not actually easy to be a professional breeder and be part of kenal clubs etc, what you talking about is hundreds of years ago inbreeding isn't good pure breed breeding is ok if you spend a lot of money on the genetic tests to make sure and mixed breed of banned dogs is still not allowed, again you don't know what your talking about you have a opinion but it's not fact. People don't ban a friendly dog breed your taking trash over here we can't keep lions and chimpanzee or anything thats too dangerous, some breeds just can't be trusted no matter how they are raised so do some looking into it and learn some stuff about things you don't know it is helpful to the mind to learn there is no excuse you obviously have the internet so use it
And if you keep breeding aggressive dogs together you will get aggressive or guard dog types from it if you breed good pets and friendly ones that is what you get and that is how it is no matter what you think about it, that's why people like you probably wouldn't be able to be recognised as a good breeder over here and be official one, you won't listen..
We have something called RSPCA check it out and animal rights look into it and kennels for cats and dogs for rehoming it's a common thing literally everywhere tons of them you need to learn some stuff you really do, some people just want a certain dog so kennels wouldn't be a good choice and I wouldn't get a dog that can be dangerous full grow if it's not a pup from a official breeder your crazy 😅
And what makes you think people here don't consider the dog family but you can't treat a dog like a human your nuts a weirdo and people like that are going to end up regretting that with dangerous animals of any kind that's how people die..
Sorry but thats just not the case, temperment does not transfer over when breeding, you start from scratch with each new individual dog.
There are no banned dog breeds here aside from a few states who have your misguided view of it, even wolves are pets here.
Its not that we can't recognize breeder quality, its that we care about abandoned dogs (and price gouging). If I have a friend with a pit, there is no laws preventing me from breeding it with one I have, so people tend to favor getting purebreds that way over an overpriced recognized breeder that inbreeds their limited stock they get just from other breeders.
There are actually states in the US where you can keep literally anything as a pet, even a gaboon pit viper, sydney funnel web spider, white rhino, or siberian tiger, some are chill, others are assholes, its a crapshoot.
Right now exotic pets are the leading conservation method to prevent terrestrial species extinction from human urban expansion and poaching. We are much less focused on breeding deformed dogs and much more focused on breeding wolves.
There were even a few instances of petitions to completely ban purbreeding dogs with health issues that resulted from the breed's creation (but it never went through).
Not because of temperment, but because of the dog's lifespan and overall life quality getting sabatoged at birth.
I just read the first few words of that and I won't even read what you say now this is why nobody likes a lot of Americans because of people like you, everyone considers your country stupid.. don't reply now please just learn.
All of that said, because we have so many dogs in the US, there are still enough shelters and friends with purebreeds to obtain them, its just that muts are more common, so you take it to a vet to see what its genetics are.
Typical lowbrow response lol.
The fact is dogs are just as diverse in personalities within a breed as humans are in countries with only one race, which is to say VERY. You're just being an idiot and refuse to listen to reason or even pay any mind to anything the contradicts your ignorant view.
by the way we invented a device that lets you talk to your dogs, maybe if you buy that you can ask your dogs why they are pissed off so often.
Its an alphabet and phrase button system they step on to speak. Turns out most dogs are smart enough to actually talk, but simply lack the physical structure in their larynx to do so. We even teach dogs complex math now.
Please educate it's needed now I beg you please I know if I read the crap you typed I'm going to have a headache you speak like your trolling are you trolling me? 😡
Actually I'm educating you with correct information. You're just being stubborn.
I listen to science and logical people you are to stupid to own these dogs some stuff you said is true but you still are mostly wrong and hopefully you don't learn for yourself why we have laws for people like you, doesn't your country have enough to worry about without dangerous animals and stupid breeding from stupid breeding?
I missed a few of your posts when replying.
We have the ASPCA and local SPCAs, as well as local humane societies, and regular law enforcement and animal control and wildlife rehabilitatirs to counteract domestic and wildlife animal mistreatment.
I'm aware shelters are common in other countries, but here its encouraged much more than purebreeding is. Of course people will still want specific breeds because of how they look though, so that market exists, its just not popular to spend a lot of money, instead people just wait for a cheap one to randomly pop up or they get one free from a neighbor, classmate, friend from work, or family member.
As far as "dangerous", most domestic breeds of dog can kill you, but they don't. Carry your paranoia elswhere.
rehabilitators*
No, you don't listen to science, you listen to authority (and most authorities are idiots), if you don't understand the difference between evidence and hearsay, you're an idiot.
If you breed dogs yourself, or simply spend time working with them often, you'll see why you're wrong.
Also if you do not care about preserving biodiversity among all clades, you're either very ignorant to ecology, or just crazy.
Human expansion is making available habitat space smaller and smaller, and it takes 1 poacher to wipe out an entire species. We can either breed them in captivity, or watch them go extinct, and the latter is unacceptable. Zoos simply aren't populace enough to bounce back endangered species, and ranger squads fail to stop poachers, whereas the pet trade creates abundance.
Anyway, I'm ignoring this post, I won't see anymore updates, it's obvious now that you are beyond reason.
So I think it's still over 50% of people die from these types of banned dogs here and in USA it's over 80% but they are only like 6% of the estimated amount of dogs owned including mix breeding so what are you talking about? I know what I'm talking about I know breeders and you don't have to be a pedigree breeder to breed but people like you is why they are banned dogs here, a lot of good dogs had to die because people can't breed and train the dog correct I dont believe the most aggressive dog on the planet is a good thing at all, its a safer place here now but people still keep them and they still kill the most people, I also don't trust people to own guns here too I'm glad we don't allow them as well, please educate yourself
Yes please don't reply, your hurt my brain
