In a way are bullies similar to criminals?

I've heard about a thief that was begging for forgiveness and mercy to the victim he robbed because he didn't want to be jailed. So basically he would've continued robbing, then return home as if nothing ever happened if it weren't for cameras. Then if they happen to rob someone that's been in the navy or knows martial arts and gets beaten, suddenly they're sorry.

Similarly, bullies don't stop unless they're caught and about to face consequences such as getting suspended, their own parent forces them to apologize (it's still fake because that's not coming from their own admission) or you have to beat them into submission. Otherwise they would continue and also return home all happy as if nothing ever happened.

So basically unremorseful unless caught or beaten? Are both similar?

Bullies are my trigger. Abusers are the biggest bully's of all. So on a scale some bullies are criminal and some bullys are just asholes. All lack empathy for others. As I say all the time. No absolutely no one no matter how bad a person they are. Writes the story of their life in their head making themselves the bad guy. There are always reasons and excuses and post hoc rational. So doing bad things no one ever really believes they are the bad guy. And they act accordingly

Indeed there is a lack of empathy. It takes having certain type of personality to enjoy making someone's time miserable and continue doing that (deliberately) over and over.

Bullies and criminals are indeed different, though many actions of a bully can blend towards criminality like stalking, cyberbullying in extreme cases, violence & assault, inappropriate touching, death threats, and more.

Let’s take a small piece of bullying like chasing you around the playground, calling you demeaning names from a far, and being a constant nuisance…. No, just an immature kid doing immature stuff. Though when taken to the extreme would be criminality & facing charges.

They are only sorry they were caught! They will do it again as soon as they can!

Those people feel it's Thier right to do those things they deserve it. They only end up in jail or fix themselves in college. If not we'll jail it is!

The justice system needs more help!

yeah that's the reality. If they do apologize shortly afterwards, most of the time it's fake and/or under pressure. I'd rather have no apology at all.

Like the ones who are just pissed they were so dumb they got caught! Those are the honest ones

Yeah at least if they don't apologize (not even if caught or threatened with a suspension) but still show their dislike towards you... at least they're not faking things. I'd rather deal with an honest, unremorseful bully than a fake one that cries when caught.

Yes they're never sorry. They're only sorry they got caught. I dislike both. They can even fake remorseful tears. They sure are good actors and it's never about you. It's all about themselves and how to avoid facing consequences.
