I’ve seen videos of people ordering Ubers and then the car that pulls up has nobody in the driving seat.
im sorry but I would cancel the ride lmaoo. Im not getting in a self driving car. I’ll take the bus or something

Lol it’s funny because I live in Phoenix and these are a big deal out here and have been for quite some time now. There’s no “cancelling the ride” because it has its own app. It’s either you use it or you don’t.
They’re all very safe and have had no accidents since it’s been on the road. They’re very popular but I personally don’t use it because it is on the pricier side compared to Uber and Lyft.
These things have been on California and Phoenix roads for years now. It’s not like it’s a new concept or something.
Still seated behind the steering wheel, my cousin demonstrated the self-autonomous driving feature of his Tesla S Plaid.
I was both impressed AND unimpressed.
I, at least, had the peace-of-mind that my cousin can take over his car.
What that journalist experienced in that empty vehicle is very concerning.
I’ve also been in self driving cars where there was actually someone in the seat. That I can trust because as soon as you grab the wheel, you’re in control again.
But nobody in the actual drivers seat is a whole different story
If it's an Uber (or Lyft) ride, we can at least decline a driverless ride until a preferred option is offered.
Not yet. But i’m sure i’ll come around.
The hilarity is in the irony. At this point, dozens of self driving cars have logged multiple millions of miles with very few accidents. Meanwhile, human drivers cause hundreds of thousands of accidents every year; tens of thousands result in serious injuries and deaths. I think this issue will force a lot of people to come to terms with the level of their own control issues.
I don’t think so , for me I like “ driving “ if I can’t do that then it’s just personal transport as opposed to mass transit. Sure I take taxis but that’s for when I purposely don’t have a car. Finally , I don’t think I trust autonomous vehicles , that’s just about where we are with the tech not about me personally.

That is a good way to save money because you don’t have to tip the driver but on the other hand that is a good way to lose your life if the thing drives off a bridge or something like that. Sometimes you have to live on the edge, I’ll go for it.
A guy I used to work for knows someone that builds those things and HE says he'd never drive in one!! You could be rolling down the road in it and if a leave blows in front the car, it'll assume it's a person and come to a dead stop! Probably tossing you through the windshield in the process!
That depends...
If it were the MAD Mobile like that time in the Amazon when Doctor Claw sent it to pick up Inspector Gadget, then sure. That thing is boss, and one can be sure it was built with the finest hot components and that the fit and finish is second to none.
Nope.
Even driver assistants which make just really simple tasks like keeping distance to car in the front and helping to keep a car on track, make too much trouble.
I have never seen it but in time computer operated cars will drive better and safer then humans.
Not with current technology. I'm not a Guinea Pig. Maybe in a few years when the technology gets better.
Hell would need to fucking freeze over first.
I'd walk there before getting in to a driverless car!
I would be psyched. I would sit in the back seat and stream videos and let the car deal with the traffic.
no, I would not.
I would not be able to relax at all.
No I would not use a self driving car, as I do not think as the technology is mature enough to be let loose in everyday traffic.
My plan was to keep my Camry until I got a self driving car.
Well, it would be an interesting experience but I don't feel very confident in that yet.
hell to the no
I don't think I could trust it entirely.
i would be sweating from anxiety lol
I probably would just for vanity sake.
that's a 100% NO from me
There's gotta be a driver seriously
Not a chance in hell.
Yes. Novelty appeals to me
Maybe in the future.
No lmao that’s stupid
I wouldn't trust that
That is my dream
No I'd be scared of getting into a wreck 😂
If it was safe, then yes
Not a chance at the moment
