And has photos of himself with the dead animals as trophies on social media?
2.2K opinions shared on Other topic. Yeah cause they are terribly boring people. What's he gonna talk about?
'Yeah I shot 3 animals before it was wild man, they just sat there I aimed and then they were dead how special am I! '
I've got a pretty dark mind but also the choice of mindlessly killing weak prey seems also messed up to me. Hell I would rather them fight in arena with another human at least that's a challenge ya know with both consenting to it of course.
Let's just say there is a reason why these hunters don't do boxing. Cowards really.18 Reply
Asker1 yExactly. Enjoying the act of killing seems really messed up to me. To go out your way and find a harmless animal in the wild, go on its turf, where deer this time of year are feeding their kids etc, and you decide to shoot it as a source of entertainment? So taking a life of a harmless creature that is in its own environment is your source of enjoyment? Especially unprovoked.
One can easily guess which party these guys usually belong to *coughs- 1 y
@Dongie Because I have brain and can figure stuff out without needing to do it.
That's called thinking.
With this 'how would you know you never done it' well I've never abused a woman either but guess I won't know that's wrong until I try it right?
Never tried to eat shit but hey by your logic I have to eat it to know right if it truly tastes like shit?
What a funny comment. - 1 y
You're showing ignorance. Earing shit and hunting are just a bit different. Besides, the guys hunting are not doing so because they have to. When they talk about it, they do so out of interest. Just because you dislike the idea of it doesn't mean everybody has to refrain from it. Goes for you girls that don't see anything of value in it doesn't mean it's a boring thing, and it certainly doesn't hurt to hunt and thin the herd of deer out. Otherwise, the state would have to use taxpayer dollars to thin out.

Asker1 yI'm glad you agree with me. I don't know what's going on in the comments. How do people NOT see killing things for fun as a red flag?
- 1 y
Just saw the comments.. wow, humans are terrible!.. imagine if a bear or some wild animal broke into someone's house and killed them just because they can.. it's all good right? Unless you're a " liberal " or a " vegan "... and someone who kills animals for fun screams mental illness and small dick energy... you're not really strong or badass when all you have to do is pull a trigger and shoot..
Asker1 yFor real, I don't know what's with people, but the lack of empathy saddens me

It depends on what "hunting" is dont get me wrong but its not a sport by any means and i think a lot of times some of these people need to kill , for me i think of the simple impact man has had on everything and we should not ve deciding weather there is too many of an animal to kill , I also think karma is real I know it is and have sceen i come full circle many of times example my cousin had a dog that he wanted so bad that his mom got it for him for chistmas and she passed away 2 years later and with the insurance money he bought a house and 2 new dogs and left the one that his mom got him in the garage on a 100 degree day and the dog died , a year later karma comes to collect and he had been sleeping in a chair waiting for his knee surgery coming the end of that week and first thing in the morning he gets up for work and collases in living room and pissed himself and died and to make sure they would not save him karma got that ambulance stuck in morning rush hour I could not think of a more perfect way for him to go 31 years old no matter your punk asd diednin front of your wife and daughter , im a bit cold like that but somebody has to stick up for animals , buuut i have had that bite me in the ass also with a 16 year old girl ended up dead still haunts me today i tried knowbody would listen to me though long story maybe next time

Anonymous(30-35)1 yNo. You may dislike it, and even I'm not a fan of hunting for sport, but it's a cultural difference type of thing, it's not like "okay these people are demented and are going to stab me in my sleep" type of thing.
Think of it kind of like an alien race looking at humans and being disgusted by the idea that we raise and kill other living beings to eat. Humans aren't these evil creatures, but what we do to eat meat could be seen as evil to beings that don't eat meat.
Having this difference with someone doesn't mean the other person is bad.02 Reply
Asker1 yWell, I feel like if you like hunting you enjoy for having power over the animal and THAT is a huge red flag. Someone who likes to have power over animals probably likes to have power over people/partners too. Statistically, so many women whose partners are gun owners are victims of domestic violence and will likely be either threatened, injured, or killed by their gun-owning partner.
Opinion Owner1 yWell, with all due respect, that first sentence is an assumption. And along the same vein, you could argue dog owners, too, like to have power over animals, considering that they develop rules for their dog, command them, and even punish them when those rules are broken. But is that really accurate? They 'like' to have power over them? I mean I'm sure it's arguably true, they like that they don't have to deal with an unruly dog, they like that the dog doesn't defecate in the house, they like that the dog listens to their commands, but is their "power" over them really the essence of their relationship? Or is it love and friendship?
And keep in mind this perspective I'm using as an example is not hypothetical, many people in the animal rights organization PETA argue this very point, referring to pets as slaves (and in some cases, love slaves, insinuating you're enslaving an animal and forcing your love on them and/or forcing them to love you).
So, similarly, is "the power hunters have over other animals" really the essence of that activity?
I'd also point out that hunting actually does control animal population, which is counter-intuitively good for both the animal population and humans. You can do some more research on it if you're curious but it can mitigate the spread of certain animal-specific diseases, it can mitigate a disruption in ecosystem (by culling an overpopulating species), and especially when it comes to deer it can dampen the number of deer-on-car car crashes (and in turn saving human lives).
And I'd like to see the statistics on women experiencing domestic violence from gun owners. I'd also point out that nearly 100% of men engaging in domestic violence wear T-Shirts, but that doesn't mean that wearing T-shirts has anything to do with an inclination of domestic violence. And, similarly, neither does owning a gun. So if you want to insist gun ownership has a correlated to domestic violence, you'll have to provide evidence of that.

1 yPersonally, I only hunt things that can shoot back, but academically I understand that regulated hunting is essential to keep many ecosystems in check. We killed or drove off all the wolves, the natural predators of the deer. If the herd isn't thinned than they'd all die come winter with the scarcity of resources.
That said, I still think it's boring as shite.

Only if you don’t like that stuff , but hunting and fishing is considered a sport or hobby and it’s a form of survival , so I enjoy it for the most part and have nothing against it considering I love fishing and hunting as well. It’s a good thing to learn to do , if you were ever stranded on a deserted island for survival. So I enjoy it for the most part.

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yNo. Why would it be a red flag? I’d like to hear why you think that would be a red flag? Where did this question come from? There’s nothing wrong w that. Shoes that he can live off the land to a degree if he had to. He likes getting out, possibly camping, enjoying the outdoors. Better than him being at home all day playing video games. Or are you concerned that he’s going to spend a lot of his time fishing and hunting and not w you 24/7?

Asker1 yI mean what would you call a fascination with violence and death other than a red flag? I love animals
and can't stand the idea of causing pain to an animal. Personally I'd rather be at home painting or playing videogames over trying to kill something.
Opinion Owner1 yOk so you’re vegan?
2.9K opinions shared on Other topic. You don't understand hunting. 99% of hunters/fisherman think of them as trophies. Nor are they celebrating death. It is to remember the experience from the stalk, kill, field dressing, to providing meals for friends and families. Hunters see it as a more ethical way of getting food when compared to factory farming which provides most meat for most people in inhumane ways. If you are good at hunting/fishing you have good qualities like patience and persistence.
00 Reply2.8K opinions shared on Other topic. Ehh no. I think it’s baser instincts coming out when we want to kill something. But honestly hunting and fishing is quite regulated. And I’m a meat eater so I don’t have much leg to stand on.
But I’d like to see research into hunters who stalk, kill and mutilate their prey…compared to research on serial killers. Absent father overbearing mother? Same. Probably.00 Reply13K opinions shared on Other topic. Why is that a problem? It is a legitimate activity.

Asker1 yIt scares me that people enjoy killing harmless animals for absolutely no reason. Why cause pain to a creature that is causing no trouble whatsoever and simply living its life? I associate it with toxic masculinity and aggressive/ intimidating tendencies.

20 ReplyNot if he is hunting for food. To me hunting free animals is more noble than force breeding animals that know only captivity their whole life. Trophy hunting on the other hand is not justifiable.
