Is it bad if after a great first date that a guy asks you out to lunch and pays if he says he’s a homebody and likes to show love by just cuddling? maybe my lifelong theories are wrong

It all depends on how he responds when you have an honest conversation about boundaries.

Assuming you don't want sex yet, tell him and set the boundaries.

If he accepts it and live by it, then it green.

But if he rejects it, or violates your terms, then yes, it's red flag.

Not true. I love cuddling without it leading to sex or being right after sex. My girlfriend and I fall asleep at night while cuddling.
Granted since our relationship is already sexual, it's cuddling naked, but it isn't sexual at that time.
