What signs help you to think that someone is confident?

When you look at someone and think 'now that person is confident!' what signs are you're seeing that help you reach that conclusion? is it just vibes? or maybe how they're standing? their posture? things they say or how they say it?

It’s just a vibe the exude. It’s like nothing seems forced or awkward. They just act like they are not afraid, but yet not cocky! It’s a really hard quality to describe, but one that’s blatantly obvious when you see it.

They are both accretive/firm and acknowledgeable. Well maybe not a knowledgeable too much, as I've encountered some idiots who were confident.

@Still-alive Why thank you. He hadn't reached that level with me yet, but was close. lol I do hate to block people if I don't have to, but am becoming better at it. I found myself blocked by someone the other day so am going to have to do something to celebrate my new notoriety. Though I do wish I knew why I got blocked...

@Caroline91 sometimes you get blocked for no reason. I've been blocked by users I've never seen before, the only reason I know they blocked me is I can't post an opinion on their question. I hate blocking people to, hate it to the point I've only ever blocked 1 user in my 10+ years being here.

@llorando Thanks for your take on that. I do appreciate it. I only block people who say crude things to me and don't stop when I call them out on it. Mostly they jump on DMs and think they can say all kinds of things. The only reason I am unhappy about being blocked is because a lot of the people I interact with most often comment on this user's questions and I wish I could participate. Oh well.

@Caroline91 I'm lucky in that I get almost 0 DMs, so that's could be part of the reason I never felt the reason to block anyone. The only reason I blocked the person I did block, was because they were known for blocking people, then unblocking long enough to post replies then reblock so you couldn't respond to their nonsense. Their account has been inactive for quite a while now, so my block list is back at 0, tho it could change in the future.
