Dogs or Cats for pets?

Hope this is a fun one! In my case it would be both, yet a heavy preference for dogs 🐕 lol.

Dogs!

Cats!

I have both and both have their pros and cons:

Cats: Pro - low mainteanance. You can leave them alone for the weekend if you leave enough fresh food and water and a clean litter box. You don't need to hire a "cat sitter."

Con: Can damage furniture.

Dogs: Pro - good protection against burglars. Easier to train than cats. Fun to play outside with.

Cons: Higher maintenance. Can't leave them alone in the house for the weekend: need someone to let them out to pee and poop or kennel them. Need to be walked or taken to dog park for exercise if you don't have a big yard for them to play in. Need to be let out at least a few times a day.

Dogs gross me out. They just shit everywhere. Don’t clean themselves. Eat their own poop. It’s disgusting. Nevermind the stench, the noise itself is hard enough to bear.
