Man bag vs purse 👛 👜 💼 ?

Why was there a time where a portion of men robbed women’s purses but you never see or saw a man rob a guy of his computer bag 💼 or briefcase :\

some guys carry computer and other important things in a shoulder bag but you never see a really desperate guy go for that.

It’s essentially filled with the same or very similar items found in a lady’s purse:

wallet; valuables. Etc.

Anyways what’s the thought and reasoning behind this?

Most guys don't keep their valuables in those places excluding the laptop which will need data wiping before it can be sold but you take a purse you can grab the cash and bin the rest

N. b. I know someone who carried £250k in a briefcase most of the time but that was in the back of his Royce and only came out when a deal had been struck in a safe location

Criminals are usually opportunists. They are less likely to target someone who could catch up to them and potentiality overpower them.

I'm sure many men have had their bags stolen tho
