Have you ever thought how your tombstone will look and what will be written on it and what it would be made of?

Similar was asked before, but just asking. do you want it to be special unique or just don't care because you are gone. ever thought about any special sculpture and which material?

When I watched the fourth Harry Potter movie, the graveyard scene featured a truly disturbing creepy tombstone. It actually got me thinking on this exact subject.

It also got me thinking about the traditional crying angel, which is a weird motif, if you think about it. I mean, what's the message supposed to be? Is the angel thinking "Oh, great, now I have to share Heaven with this bozo for the rest of eternity; this sucks!"? I mean, I get that you don't want to put celebratory angels shaking hands with a statue of the deceased in a somber place like a graveyard, but still...

You'll note that I said you don't want that; I think it's a great idea. If they won't allow that, then maybe a crying Devil, because I've gotten away.

There'll be no tombstone for me.

Although I have nothing against traditional burials, I don't feel that I should occupy a particular square footage of Earth for eternity, or at least until a highway comes through and they dig me up and place my remains elsewhere.

I plan on being cremated, then hopefully my loved ones will dust my ashes upon my favorite Earthly location, a small, beautiful Ozark river.
My fishing buddies know where that certain place is.

I'll be remembered until I'm not remembered by anyone any longer, for better or worse, as those individuals may have viewed my Earthly journey.

Honestly no I haven't and who really looks at it the people that come to the funeral or to your grave the next decade or less or maybe a little more I think of my tombstone which is going to be in the ground after I die as much as I think of a poop I just pooped out and flush down the toilet it's not going to matter but yeah what's going to be on your tombstone

A similar question was asked a couple years ago. I've never given it much thought, and since I plan to be cremated and my ashes put in a jar (okay, be fancy and call it an urn), I won't have a tombstone. Maybe a small plaque on the urn with my name and birth/death dates on it.

I've had many ideas. Be cremated and put in a hallow statue of a dragon, which locks into a headstone/plaque. Doing a tree burial, where my corpse is used for fertilizer. A basic burial in a prebought casket, that i personally modified.
Being cremated and my ashes being folded into metal for a blade. Having my ashes mixed into clay and formed into a guardian dragon statue.

I have already made that decision and it is a done deal. Upon my death, I will be cremated, and my ashes scattered over the Pacific from a Yacht in Newport Beach, with a select group, that I picked to scatter them. Coffee will be served and flowers will be present.
