What was the last book you read?

It's been some years since my vision was good enough to be able to read a book without great difficulty.
Cataract surgeries, and vitrectomy surgeries on both eyes to correct the aftermath of vitreous detachment have left my eyes in terrible shape.
The cataract surgeries were especially disappointing.
It's possible that my last reading was of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, a collection of stories that have entertained me over and over in reading and rereading them since my early 20s.
Honestly mumble Most recent was a batman comic "book" blush.
but before that i read part 2 of hitchhiker galaxy called title "mostly harmless" a reference to the description of humans in the Guide:
humans of earth are "mostly harmless".
Maybe 9% lead wars but 91% of humans truly are mostly harmless.

An encyclopedia, I can't consider I will ever finish that one and that is where my attraction stands I guess. I would say character psychology is dealt with in a rather neutral way but storyline is awe-inspiring.
It counts if you finish a volume "ant to aztec" as finished a book. I finished many encyclopedia books as a bored brat. But not all the volumes.
It would make no sense for me to read from A to Z, nor it would make any sense to consume knowledge for knowledge. I'm not an AI 😆
I don't like to read. I prefer visual things like movies. The last book I read was "Hunt for the Red October", many years ago.
I just finished Treasure Island not too long ago. I'm getting to the end of The Stars, Like Dust now. Not sure what I'll read next though.
I'm currently re-reading David Weber’s Off Armageddon Reef book #1 of the Safehold series, amongst others.
