Why do people expect more from me since I’m a tall woman?

Question

Like a friend is struggling to lift a heavy box and people look at you and expect you to lift it since you’re tall. I’m 6’4 but it makes sense. Like when my mom was stuffing to get the top high shelf at the store which is awkward because she is 5’8, two of my cousins looked at me and pointed that my mom is struggling and I’m just standing there. I grabbed it for her. One time my petite coworker (4’9) was struggling to lift a big wide box. I asked if she needed help and she said no thanks I got it. She got it. One of my other coworkers glared at me. She said, “(my name) you’re very tall so you should be carrying the boxes. Tall people are stronger! If you see someone struggling or struggle to reach still, volunteer to help! Don’t be an ass!” And walked off. Wow that was rude. I do help. I’ve had people asked me to reach stuff and always says, “You’re tall an you reach that for me?” Or “Um (my name) do you mind putting that up because neither of us can teach it.” The guy said, “Yeah since she's very tall! It’s nice to have a tall coworker in here.” He said jokingly that they will use me as their latter. He gave me a dirty look. He claims to be 5’6.”

One time I had to help my brothers (6’7, 6’8) and dad (6’5, used to be 6’7) with some heavy box lifting while my cousins (mom side) got to do girl things which I wanted to do but my dad said he needed another right hand man and my mom would do it but she was working and plus I’m taller. It sucked. Why do people always remind me that I’m tall or keep telling me I’m so tall or I’m tall this, I’m tall that? SHUT UP!!! I know I’m tall!!! I don’t need to be told or reminded!!! Can’t us tall women get a break or go through our day without being commented or harassed by our heights. I’m sick of being expected to do more.

Superman, who is unbelievably pissed screams out "Can't I get a break and just watch the fucking game like normal people? Why do __I__ always have to save the world?" I don't think you should be expected to jump to someone's aid just because you are taller than them. I think most short people wouldn't want you to anyway, unless they truly can't do it themselves.

Keep in mind that from their point of view, expecting that they need help because of their height, is much the same as expecting you to give help because of your height. It's like opposite sides of the same coin.

Everyone is unique in some way. Yours is being tall and can reach higher places. I have asked shorter people to do things that they could do and i couldn’t. Such as since their hands and body was smaller. So they could get into smaller places than my big paws!
As for the strength part. Taller people tend to have more back problems. So the strength is a fallacy.

Ok i get sometimes you might help someone regardless of attributes. But you don't owe anyone anything. Its not your fault if they have expectations and get disappointed. You are not obliged to live up to their imagination of you just because you are tall. No expectations, no disappointments.

Seems like some people are confusing reach with strength? I am tall and have been asked several times to get some item from the top shelf, but I can't recall being the designated lifter just because of height.
