Why do people always think I’m taller than really am?

I am 5’10” but people kept saying I’m taller then that and stop trying to make myself shorter. One of my teachers asked me how tall I am (one of the questions I hate so much) and when I told her my height she looked me and said, “No you’re not. Because I’m 5’10. You have to be at least 6ft. She’s an inch shorter than me. I haven’t measured myself because what’s the point? I haven’t grew since age 13. Even one of my cousins said around my family, “She’s taller than 5’10 y’all. This girl is going to be VERY tall.” Like why does it have to be an announcement. I got scolded by my parents to stand up straight. Everybody keeps saying I’m taller than 5’10 and it’s getting aggravating. Even my coworker who said is 5’2 even said I look around 5’11-6ft.
Why do people say tall girls lie about it ye heights to look shorter? I AM 5’10!

even my dad said in 6’ because he said he’s 6’2” he used to be 6’2 but he shrunk to about 6’1”. How can I get people to believe that I’m 5’10? Nobody does that to a short or average height women so why a tall girl or woman?

Because people are kinda stupid sometimes. They see that women prefer taller men and think that must mean men prefer shorter women- or at least, that women pretend to be shorter than they are so that they can still get men taller than them.

The only real solution is to go to completely ludicrous lengths (no pun intended); tell people you're actually 12'10". They'll get the message.

F*** em! The teacher who said she's 5'10" I probably would have told her she must of shrunk.

There isn't a week that goes by that somebody doesn't ask me how tall I am as well. And they almost always guess me taller. I've got a real gangly frame and I think that gives me the appearance of being taller than I am. Maybe that's your situation as well?

like im the same height and sometimes people think im wrong. it is what it is don't overthink it lol

• Skinny frame
• Long legs
• big hair
• long head
• big head
• added shoe height
• good posture
• difference in elevation
• etc
