For me unless someone is blatantly stupid I don't pay attention to it. I used to put a lot of importance on intelligence because people told me I was smart and stuff but now I don't care about it that much. Intelligence is overrated in how much it affects your life and the quality of it. So I'd rather focus on other things like trying to understand other people and connecting with them, understanding myself as well or just pursuing whatever goal I've set myself at that time. Not thinking about intelligence is freeing. If you don't know something or you fail at something the first time you just say "I don't know" or you try again. But if you have that pressure of having to live up to some standard it makes you tense and things are not fun anymore.
Because I don't think about it myself I don't think about it in other people either and it's a positive thing for social interactions in my opinion.
A superb opinion indeed
@Maybe_Maybe_not thanks :)
Depends what you mean with intelligence? I can assess analytical abilities easily through talking but that is just one facet of intelligence. I can scan for emotional intelligence as well, but I would need to create situations probably.
I think I'm good at assessing intelligence as far as the extremes go. So somebody extremely intelligent or sonebody whos a fucking idiot. Most of the average or just slightly above it would be hard to differentiate.
The last option. I don’t care enough to notice. Even the smartest around me have surprised me by some of the dumb shit they are capable of saying or doing.

My department used to do a pool where we take one of our classes and on Columbus Day wknd - 5 weeks of knowing them - and predict their final grades in a sealed envelope to open in mid June. I was ok usually a /- 3 so I think I'm good at it in THAT context. I epic fail in other settings
Sometimes, but I get thrown a curve ball now and then. I had a guy working for me who, for some reason, took several attempts more than average to "get it" so I thought he was just slow. But he is quite intelligent in certain things, expecially math.
I’m not good at anything.
Yes I definitely do.
Kinda
